KONAD TUTORIAL ; YOUR FEEDBACK WANTED

Ladies, ladies, ladies!!! After reading :::several::: nail blogs out there and reading several comments on said blogs - a Konading tutorial is in high demand! And I will be just the lady to give it to you :) I am not a Konad expert, but together I think we can help each other out with getting all the kinks of the konad system out! But I need your help ladies.

Tomorrow I will be doing a post on tips/tricks/basics of using a Konad. I can't believe how many of you own one only to let it sit there unused because it didn't work the one or two times you tried. I am waiting until tomorrow to do this post, so that I can actually take some pictures to help better visualize with you all what I am talking about. While my Konad doesn't always work for me, I can honestly say 98% of the time it does, or just needs a simple adjustment made.

Here is where you come in. I need all the feedback from you ladies that I can get to make this a success!
Here is what you can do to help:

Please do one of the following by either leaving it in the comments section, or emailing me at getchanailsdid@yahoo.com:

1) You have a specific problem you would like addressed on the tutorial.

2) You HAVE a tip/trick that you would like to share with me, and I will re-post them tomorrow on the tutorial.

3) You have a question on how to use your konad.

Please ladies, get your questions asked and your tips/tricks turned in ASAP! Since I will be doing this tonight, I will only be able to help or use any information that is turned in within, say that next 6 or 7 hours.

I don't own one, but I can't wait to see this post. Maybe I'll get one. They look like fun! lol

My tips are: I use a plastic card instead of that original metallic scraper. Plastic (old credit card etc) does not leave scratches to the plate. One other tip is using pure acetone to clean up the plate and the stamper between every stamp.

I don't one either. I've been scared of it,lol! I could just see myself making a huge mess of my nails! So I'm interested to see how it's done!!

I've got a konad too, and i'm not too bad at using it, though i find it impossible to line up the stamp so the image ends up just where i want it -- my stamps are always off-centre etc.
any recommendations to help get the image exactly where i want it on my nail?

oh and my recommendation is not to scrape too hard/strongly -- especially with those images which are very fine, as the fine bits often won't stamp. A light scrape is best! (even if it looks like a very fine layer of polish is left all over the stencil, it doesn't show up when stamping!)

Well I'm glad someone's taking control of this situation~ha-ha! Seriously, should be helpful and interesting for us. I agree w/the plastic card. Also, I keep a cotton cosmetic pad dampened with n/p remover nearby to swipe my stamper across after each time. On longer nails, can you get full coverage? I've seen others do it, but how? Thanks so much Brooke for doing this!

I just got a konad a few days ago & I simply refuse to buy the special nail polish! So far, much of my nail polish works great especially Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear. I'm cuirous if you can provide a list of brands that do work and specifically the brands that DON"T work. I've heard China Glaze works, what about Zoya?

Hi. Thank you for this! I was so disappointed when I first used it and have kind of quit on it. My problem is that the image won't go on the stamper...I've been told that filing it would help but exactly HOW MUCH do i need to file? I don't want to file it too much that I reach the point of no return! Oh and also, any possible tips with applying the top coat would be extremely helpful. How long do I need to wait before the top coat? And also, would it be possible for you to do a tutorial using the full nail stamp? I'm having issues with transferring the whole image plate onto my nail. Usually the middle doesn't get on :(

Wow--lots of questions! :)
Looking forward to your tutorial!
