Either this blog just took a turn down the Red Light District OR this is pirate related..............all those who guessed pirate related win!!

You KNOW I had to delve into my new Konad plates I got from OC Nail Art - right?! I already had my Konad plate # M28 out from my SH Insta-Dri test stamps, so I decided to use it for my nail of the day. I also still have a few of my TiNS that I haven't waved in your I mean that I haven't teased ........ I mean NaNeNaNe BOO BOO , I have TiNS and YOU don't - lol!! Ok, now that that is out of my system, I still have a few TiNS that I haven't shown you yet so I decided to use one for the base. I used TiNS - The Diamond for the base, and believe me when I tell you it looks like I have dipped my finger nails into a diamond bath. My nails are simply draped in diamonds! With nails this expensive looking, I knew I needed something to protect them from all these pirate outbreaks we have had recently. So what better way to ward off pirates than with pirates (dead ones) !!

Three things can sum up my LOVE of this mani:

***Props curtesy of my son's toy box!! Thanks Little :)

Who wants to get thar hands on me booty now???

I've got another nail blog for all you nail fanatics out there:

EVERYTHING BUT THE FLYING MONKEYS - Lisa contacted me through email to let me know about her blog. Her blog is new, only 7 posts in and started just this month. Lisa is great at doing nail art and her posts reflect that. She also has a little puppy she might do posts on from time to time too, so you doggy lovers should check that out! Like I said Lisa is just starting out, so she is still working on the quality of her pictures and posts, but assures me that she is learning quick.

I really hope you all take a minute and welcome Lisa to Nail blogging and show her some support!

As always, if you have a nail blog that you would like for me to feature here, please contact me in the comment section of this post or shoot me an email to:

I was given the chance to review three (3) BB Couture nail polishes Venice Party, Zuma Wave Rider & Balboa Beach Bunny. All three of these shades are from their Hot Fun in the Summertime Collection. All BB Couture nail products are DBP, Toulene and Formaldehyde free. BB Couture products can be found at BB Couture's website (Click HERE) or at Overall Beauty (Click HERE).

First up, lets get to the swatches and then I will give you all a little bit more info on these babies.

I used two coats of polish and no top coat. This has a little bit of a bumpy texture, but I believe that with a coat of Seche it would smooth right out.

This color is actually a tad bit lighter in real life, but I couldn't get it to capture accurately on my camera. I painted two coats and no top coat. I really, really like this color! It is a light blue with just a hint of purple or lavender to it.

This one took me by surprise. I just wasn't wowed by this color in the bottle for some reason. However as soon as I put it on, my mind was changed! This is my fave color of the three I tried. I used three coats and no top coat. I could have gotten away with just two coats, but I think the third coat added some dimension to the glitter in the polish and it made the purple just a little bit darker. I was so taken by this color I took some additional shots of this one. I really wanted you all to see the multi sized glitter in this one, so please click to enlarge the pics.

I found all of these nail polishes to apply really well and required very little clean up. I was very pleased with these nail polishes in general.

I have seen and heard of this brand before but have never purchased any for the simple fact they are a bit pricey (for my taste). BB Couture polishes will run you $8.00 from Overall Beauty and $8.95 from BB Couture direct. However that being said, they do have some really unique colors! Here are a couple I took from Overall Beauty:

(Hello Lacquer Laine, is this what you have been looking for?)

These are all greens, and what is interesting about that is that BB Couture did the unexpected: They listened to what their customers wanted! (Shocker, huh!) All you green freaks out there wanted more greens and so that's what they are giving you.
I have also heard that the Customer Service at Overall Beauty is IMPECCABLE!!! Here is what faithful commenter LUCY had to say about her order she recently placed:

BB polish is great! I have 8 bottles and their colors are fantastic. has great customer service. I emailed them and Kim got back to me right away. I forgot to use a coupon and also saw another polish I wanted. My order went out that day, so fast that it was too late to add the polish. Kim said order the polish and she would refund my postage.
Nixxy of Nixxy's Nails also has given Kim and Overall Beauty a glowing review. Nixxy also has international shipping info and a coupon for Overall Beauty. You can click HERE to be directed to Nixxy's post.
I think for the GREAT customer service you can get at Overall Beauty, plus the unique colors of the BB Couture nail polishes - $8.00 seems worth it!
Lastly - BB Couture and Overall Beauty have teamed up and are having a contest. Below I am posting the information I got from BB Couture:
