MORE WEEKEND SWATCHES

I have just a few more swatches to share with you all from weekend of nail painting. You all might remember my Dollar Tree find from a month or two ago, where I found Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Night Lights. It was the one that sorta looked like a My Private Jet dupe - sorta. When I did a swatch of it then, it was very sheer - bummer man! So I thought I might try it over a silver base and see what it looked like. I used Sally Hansen Salon - Sterling. This is another SH Salon that didn't disappoint. No application issues and it only took two coats.

Not a bad silver polish, eh? Next came the real test, would SH Xtreme Wear - Night Lights look good over this? I applied two coats of Night Lights over Sterling.

Left blurry to show the (or lack there of, at least on my nails) holo glittery-ness.

Again, I am underwhelmed with Night Lights. Is it just me? Am I just expecting this polish to be more than it is? Was silver the wrong base color to use with this?
I think the only thing left for me to do with this is to franken Night Lights into what it SHOULD be! Any tips/ideas/comments on what you all should think I should franken Night Lights with, please let me know in the comments section :)

That Sterling is a great silver polish, but Night Lights isn't anything special. I'm sure you will franken it into some thing fantabulous!

I like the way Night Lights look.
But yea you're right. Maybe use a darker base color.

THE PBG - I'm going to give it my best shot!

RAI - Night Lights is way to sheer for my tastes. I'm hoping to be able to work a little magic tonight.

That silver polish is great looking. Night Lights is okay. Sort of reminds me of OPI's polish from Christmas.
