CHINA GLAZE - HOT APPLE

This ladies and gents was my VERY FIRST China Glaze I ever bought. Not this bottle but this color. Isn't it crazy that I can remember something like that but can't remember what I ate yesterday? Anyway, I loved this color. This was my first foray into my "love affair" with ChG. I remember drooling over how well this polish applied, I was super hooked after just one use. I couldn't wait to get back to Beauty Co (our local store chain that was like Sally's) and buy some more. This is one of the few bottles of nail polish that I used the whole bottle of - no joke.

This color has since been discontinued and I have only been able to find it on Ebay. I tried to order this once before only to get a note from the ebay store saying they couldn't find it. I came across it the other day and scooped this bad boy up (and a back up bottle too I might add).

I got this from a really great store that I wanted to share with you all. I was super impressed with not only the quickness in response of my order, but also in how quickly I got my order. From the day I ordered it to the time I had it in my hands was like 3 days! Both bottles came individually wrapped in bubble wrap and encased in a sturdy card board box. I got really great customer service too, which is why I wanted to share this place with you all. The store is PRETTY THINGS FOR YOU AND ME. You guys know how much I appreciate great customer service and I think I was really treated well using this store. I especially like how quickly I got my goodies too. The price wasn't too bad either. I saw that they sell lots of other discontinued and hard to find polishes also, so if you are looking for any of those you might see what they have to offer.

Anyway I always try to spread the word on great CS and wanted to give this store a little shout out!

NOTD - NEON PRANCER!

This is my nails of the day. I used Eyeko Punk Polish for neon nails and then topped it off with Wet N Wild Prancer. I really like this. It almost looks like a Valentine's Day mani.

When I get home I'm going to put China Glaze's Party Hearty over this!! I think it will look AWESOME!

NOTD - SALLY HANSEN COCKTAIL PARTY

These was my mani over the Christmas holiday. I know pretty boring. I hadn't intended on it being my full mani, I was going to top it with a fun glitter top coat but things were busy so it didn't happen. Oh well - that's life! :)

PUPPY UPDATE

Well I hope everyone had a great Christmas! Mine was good. I got lots of new nail polish I can't wait to try out - that Santa Claus sure does know my taste! It's almost as if I picked it out all by myself and stuck it in my own stocking. . . .

The puppies are doing good. No signs of eyes opening yet but they sure are getting big! Especially the little white female. She is like doubled in size and is double the size of the little boy.

Can you see the size difference in the two??

I have named her "FAT MEATIES". Fat meaties is what I usually call the back sides of doggy legs, the really squishy part of their upper thigh - well she is just a big ball of squishy fat meat so that's what I'm calling her! lol - I don't have normal names for my animals...

He was sort of hidden this morning so I couldn't get a really good picture of him. I haven't come up with a name for him yet, I'm still working on it.

How was everyone's Christmas? Anyone get any cool nail polish related goods that they want to share with us? Would love to hear about them in the comments section :)

ZOYA MAKES MY CHRISTMAS ROCK!!!

OMG - imagine my surprise today when I rec'd a package from Godiva chocolates! I thought this must be a mistake, I couldn't think of anyone that would be sending me a box a chocolates. But as I opened up the package I found a little envelope with a note from none other than ZOYA!!

How awesome was that? This was certainly something that Zoya didn't have to do at all, especially for a little ol' blogger like myself, but it sure did give me a great feeling. It is so nice to be recognized as an important part of Zoya! I know I don't work FOR Zoya but I have worked with Zoya through my blog for product reviews, which really is nice enough. So THANK YOU ZOYA, this was really nice, generous and thoughtful.

*I wanted to post this to share with you all what a wonderful company Zoya is and what great customer service they have!

P2 - STORMY SWATCH

I love P2 polishes! I just love the gel formula, it is really easy to control. This is grey, taupe, sandy color. I really liked it quite a bit. You can see the sandy quality in the extreme closeup picture below.

DINKY IS A MOMMA!

Dinky gave birth to two beautiful babies late last night. The first to come was this little female:

She is pure white and just sweet as can be! She takes after her momma Dinky.

Then about 30 minutes later and fast as lightening came this little male:

He takes after his daddy, Banana! He is white with brindle spots. He was the one doing all the kicking in Dinks tummy and he hasn't slowed down since he came out.

Dinky is doing well and just loves her little babies so much.

NOTD . . . FRANKEN - TWENTY TEN

This is my NOTD. Finally almost a FULL YEAR after Kae sending me this I am trying it! I know, I'm a bad person!! Kae from THE HUNGRY ASIAN made this and another franken for me last year around Christmas time and while going through and trying to get all my untrieds lumped into one place I came across the two frankens she sent me.

She named this one Twenty Ten, I think for New Years that was right around the corner, see like I said - almost a year later (hanging head in shame!). The base of this polish was kind of a sheer black color and her note she sent with it said I needed three coats, so in order to speed the process along a little bit I did a base coat and only 2 coats of the glitter bomb Twenty Ten.

The nurse at my son's doctors appointment oooohed and aaahhhed over this and asked if it was the new Christmas color that just came out, lol! Little did she know this was last years color (again: head. . . hang . . . shame . . . ).

SALLY HANSEN - POWERFUL COFFEE

I was doing a little work in my future nail polish room last night. Trying to unpack a few boxes of nail polish stuff and came across a whole stash of Dollar Tree finds. I found 7 bottles of Sally Hansen Nail Prisms Golden Tourmaline in double packs a few months back. Can you believe it, 7 bottles!? Anyway like I said, they were double packed and as I was opening the packages I actually got a look at the polishes that were packed with them and some of them were actually not half bad.

The lighting is off in my polish room and I will have to fix it. It has that sort of yellowish glow instead of bright white light. I had a hard time trying to figure out what the real color of this polish was last night. So for now, these aren't the best lighted pictures but that will soon change.....

Sally Hansen - Powerful Coffee
A maroonish- brown with small micro gold glitter/shimmer.

Below is what Sally Hansen Golden Tourmaline looks like. I borrowed a pic from the fabulous SCRANGIE blog, so this picture is her property and not one of my pictures.
