CALLING BROWN GIRLS WITH PRETTY NAILS

That's what The Pretty Brown Girl (The PBG) of the nail blog Fifty-Two (52) Flavors is asking of all you beautiful women of color :) Here is what The PBG says:

I have heard time and time again from a lot of my readers that there aren't enough women of color blogging on nails and providing swatches of polishes against darker skin tones. Quite a few have thanked me for my efforts. You're welcome, My Lovelies.

I honestly didn't realize this myself until I began perusing nail polish blogs myself since beginning this " 52 Flavors" project earlier this year. I was actually inspired by Brittany of Clumps of Mascara's "Amor de Laquer" posts on her blog (which is awesome, by the way). I recently discovered "Scratching The Surface" by Betty (thanks to Brooke of Getcha Nails Did! Brooke always has the good word on all the happenings when it comes to the hot nail blogs) Betty is the first Brown Girl blogging nails exclusively that I've found on the internet, besides myself. It's a spin-off of her beauty blog "Betty Brown's Beautification & Banter", which I've discovered to be quite AWESOME as well.

I'd like to feature some women of color here on "52 Flavors", displaying their awesome nail colors and creations. It would be a great opportunity to show how all these fabulous colors interact with the different skin tones of kinds of women. I have a few pics already that I plan on putting up this week and I'd love to have more!

If you are a woman of color, with great nails, The PBG would love for you to send in your pics of your polished nails, making sure to include the name of the polish you used. Your pic could be featured in one of her upcoming posts on her blog. Please CLICK HERE to be directed to Fifty-Two (52) Flavors for all the info on where to send your pics.

I think this is such a cool idea, I really hope this turns out a success! So get over there and get those pictures sent in, I can't wait to see em!

I think it would be nice to see other skin colors. White girls aren't the only skin color on the planet. I for one enjoy any skin color with polish on their nails! I wish I was able to change my skin color. It would be an amazing learning experience.
