PURPLE SHORTIES :(

Well, as you can see, I had to cut my nails last night.  They just kept breaking.  Not sure what is the problem.  I even went back to using some Barielle treatments that I've used in the past that worked for me, but this time not so much.  As you can see from how short they are, I had one break pretty bad.  Thinking about taking Biotin to help with my nail situation.

I always feel less inspired when I have shorties to work with, but this turned out pretty good.  I used OPI - Push and Pur-Pull from the new summer neons collection.  Then I added 2 coats of Revlon Nail Art Moon Candy - Orbit (the flaky glitter side).  I then stamped using Konad Special Polish in white and Bundle Monster plate # 319.  Then to tone the white down a little bit I used OPI sheer tint in purple over the top (my new favorite trick I like to do), it always takes that stark whiteness away and leaves a more color flowing mani I think.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

REVLON COLOR STAY - ALWAYS SHEER BLISS

This was another polish I got in a recent freecycle haul. There were three bottles of this and I think it was part of a two or three bottle set, because I see it says "1" on the front. I'm thinking part of a french mani set or something. Either way, I think it is a nice base color if you need something neutral.

OF course I couldn't leave it at that. Here it is with my favorite red glitter, Wet N Wild Prancer. Looks really Valentine's day to me. It looks a little dull because I didn't put a top coat on this.

SEEIN' SPOTS

This is one of those unlikely combos that just knocked my socks off! I'm loving this, it's bright, squishy and glittery!!

I used Wet n Wild Prancer to top off Revlon Royal. I was pretty impressed with Prancer, it added a nice amount of glitter evenly over my nails without much work. It worked best if you did just one or two strokes any more than that and the brush wanted to pick the glitter back up off my nails.

This is so cool - I took like a million pictures, hope you don't get bored looking at all of them :)

REVLON TOP SPEED - ROYAL

I was at Walgreens this morning getting some cans of Mighty Dog for our dog at work and almost walked right past this polish. I'm glad it was the only one that really struck me since these run $5.99 EACH!!! What has gotten into these drugstore brand polishes and their crazy prices?? Anyway, as usual these bluey purpley colors are hard to photograph, but I did the best I could.

About the 4th picture down I included a picture that gives you more of an accurate color idea. Such a pretty bright glowing blue shade!

(Photo above is a more accurate color sample)

I have a really fun layered NOTD I did with this and a glitter top coat coming up in a little bit!

COPPER COLORED LEOPARD PRINT

Hello! For today's NOTD I used Carmello from Nubar's new Venetian Glass collection. I painted three coats for my base and then used a brown Revlon for the animal print stamping. I love the tone on tone look of this. As you can see, there was a little tip pullage with this mani so that sucks. I even painted the tips of my nails to try and prevent it from happening but it didn't work. It was a little hard to try and capture the true coppery color that Carmello is, it is so pretty IRL.
