MY GOLD SET

I have some GOOD news from Ebay for you ladies! I have not done much with Ebay - less than 10 things I have bought. Although the Orly Satin's didn't turn out to be what I thought they would - the seller did offer me another color or my money back, which from some of the stories I have heard, that's a good thing! But I did want to share a GOOD purchase I got.

As you all have heard about 1 million times, I will be doing a Sailor/Nautical theme mani. However I ran into not having the correct size red jewels, which Jen from Never Too Much Glitter gifted to me. I also needed several gold bullion's to create the anchor as well as decorate each nail with. I thought I had them, but when I got home I realized that I had the silver ones, not gold! So I turned to Ebay for a cheap way to get some nail art.

The gold nail art set I got came from the Ebay store Shop4femme. Take a look at what I got for $9.11 - SHIPPED to me in the U.S. from Hong Kong:

My little pots 'o' gold :)
Anyone who buys nail art supplies at places like Sally's knows what a good deal this is! This is a ton of stuff, in a nice little clear box to keep all the gold items together. I'm super impressed and definitely satisfied with this purchase from Ebay! Also as a side note, it only took about 10 days for me to get these!

Here are a couple of closeups:

These are the gold balls I needed in order to start on my Nautical mani.
These are just super flashy, I need these on my nails - like yesterday!

I really liked these hearts too!

The ebay store I got these from sells other color themed nail art kits too. I plan on getting these at some point: Black

Silver

White
So there you have it folks! A pleased Ebay customer (today, anyway)!

QUICK NAIL ART DESIGN WITH SALLY HANSEN NAP'S

I did a quick little nail art design on my nails last night before I took off Sally Hansen Salon - Sultry Fuchsia. I used another Sally Hansen NAP in Hot Pink. I thought it turned out pretty cute, and I will probably do this design again when I have a little more time and not so rushed. Reminds me of strawberries with the colors I used. As you can see I didn't even do any clean up because I knew I was just going to turn around and take this off anyway. But you get an idea of some of the things you can do with the SH NAP's.

NAIL ART PEN

Dreamka left me a comment wanting to know about the Nail Art Pen (NAP) I used in the Lilac Pastel - All Dressed Up! post. I promised her I would take some pictures and post them up so she could see the NAP. I used Sally Hansens Nail Art Pens. I found these at Walgreens and they were around $5-$6 ea. They come in a variety of 8 colors. If you would like more info on these, you can CLICK HERE to be directed to Sally Hansens website.
One of the cool things about these pens is that the "paint" is water based, so if you make a mistake, all you have to do is take a wet cotton swab and "erase" your mistake with out messing up your nail polish. These pens are soooo easy to use, it is just like using a marker. The NAP's have a nice, fine tip that allows you to make intricate designs. These pens are great for making pretty good free hand french tips, too!

I recommend these pens! I think they are a little on the pricey side so it might be best to wait for Sally Hansen products to go on sale at Walgreens before getting to many of these. Hope that helps Dreamka, if you have any other questions, please let me know and I will see what I can do to help :)

SCRAPBOOK FINDS TO USE FOR NAIL ART

Believe it or not, all of the items above were found on the scrapbook isle at Michael's craft store. These are all at least double the size you will find at Sally's AND they were cheaper, at least $1.00 cheaper. You do the math :)
All of these are flat on the backside, and coated with some sort of stick 'um, so they are really easy to use. Of course, some of the ones are a little too big, but it is still a steal.
(NOTE: All images when clicked will enlarge to a HUGE size)

WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME??

I just placed ANOTHER finger nail polish order, so I know somethings gotta be wrong with me. I can't help it, sometimes I just get this overwhelming need to buy nail polish! :) You guys know what I mean, right? It's not just me, RIGHT???

I placed this order with Head2Toe. Every since I saw that mint green color on Khloe Kardashian, I have been on the hunt for a mint green. Essie St. Martin Mint looked to be the closest, but guess what - - It's been DISCONTINUED, go figure....... So I got the next best thing, China Glaze - Groovy Green.

I ordered the last 4 of the China Glaze Kaleidoscope collection: Don't Be A Square, Rated Holographic, Spin Me Round & Visit Me In Prism.

I ordered four of the Color Club glitter nail polishes, I can't remember the collections name, possibly Vixen. Anyway I ordered Tru Passion (purple), Art of Seduction (red), Sexy Siren (blue) & Object of My Envy (green).

I FINALLY ordered some Cuticle Eraser. After hearing all these rave reviews I figured I should get some and see what all the fuss is about.

I ordered a set of three nail art brushes & 2 manicure bowls.

I ordered OPI - My Chihuahua Bites, simple for the name since I have a Chihuahua - and she does go into "fightsey bitesey" mode ( thats what I call it when she just wants to bite when she plays) sometimes.

And lastly I ordered Essie - Happily Ever After because I just found out my little sister got engaged and is getting married-----in two weeks, lol! So hurry up Head2Toe, get that order here before the wedding. My little sister likes nail polish, she isn't a nut like me, but I thought she would like it for the name alone.

SALLY'S HAUL - AGAIN

While visiting one of my favorite nail polish blogs, Nail Juice, I saw a very hot konadicure! For the base color she used China Glaze - 2Nite from the OMG! Collection. This color is pure hotness (please click here to be directed to the pictures on Nail Juice I am referring to)! I left a message in her comments section that I had to go get it - today!

So true to my word, at lunch I hightailed it over to Sally's Beauty Supply. As I stated earlier they are having a great sale going on, buy two China Glaze polishes get one free, plus if you have their discount card, which I do, it comes to $3.25 a bottle, so really with the one bottle free that comes to a total of $2.17 A BOTTLE - - - for China Glaze! Don't know how long this sale will last, but if you have a Sally's close by I would recommend picking up some China Glaze.

However, when I got to Sally's they did not have this color. But I picked up 6 colors that I previously didn't have. Some are kind of boring because I needed just some basic colors for some of my nail art designs. I purchased:

Platinum Silver (a silver shimmer)

White on White (white creme)

Solar Power (bright yellow shimmer)

Liquid Leather (black creme)

Sexy Silhouette (magenta shimmer)

Ruby Pumps (red glitter)

This is the second Sally's I have been too that has been sold out of that new Christmas collection green glitter that just came out! Bummer man!

I still had one more option to get my 2Nite shade, there is another little beauty supply store, so I headed over there. Yes! They had it, but they wanted $6.99 for it (see how good that $2.17 looks now?!)!

I also picked up China Glaze - Crystal ball, a maroon with silver/holo glitter, and this one was $5.99 - darn you Sally's!

I also picked up a new Kiss! art brush and some little storage vials from Cinapro for my nail art supplies.

All in all - another good nail polish trip!
