LAYERING = HOTNESS!

Before I started checking for nail polish blogs on the internet, it never really occurred to me to layer. About as close to layering that I got was, not wanting to use remover to take off my nail polish before painting them another color! I also thought when I bought a color that was too sheer, that I had just wasted my money. Of course now I know there are other options for those bad nail polish purchases. You can franken that ugly duckling nail polish into a swan of a color. Or you can take that ugly, good for nothin' sheer and layer it over another color for a total cool new look.

I did three different top coats over one base color of Zoya's - Juicy. I had heard from some that Juicy was a pain to work with. I really didn't have any problems. This is a color that will take at least three coats though. If I was going to wear it by itself I probably would have added a fourth coat, but since I was going to layer, I left it at three.

Ooops! I think that is a Dinky hair!

I used for layering:
Zoya - Roxy

Love My Nails - All That (great name!)

Love My Nails - Star Bright

My girl Rai over at La.Morena just did an awesome layer job on her nails. She used an orange color for the base and blue and silver chunky glitter for the top coat. I think it is just such an unexpected color combo - but it totally rocks. CLICK HERE to check Rai's nails out!
What do you think has been your best two colors you layered?
::::::EDIT::::::::
If anyone knows where LOVE MY NAILS brand of nail polish is available at, please let me know in the comments section.

RAI - I get the Love My Nails at walmart. They are like 97 cents - cheap! And they have such cute, chunky glitters.

LK - I'm working on close to 600 nail polishes - yipes! I store them in plastic, stackable shoe boxes I get from dollar general, and luckily I have a really usless top shelf in the bathroom that is like a couple of feet from the ceiling and I stack some there, and then some I have had to stack in my son's room, lol.

Whaaaaattttt! I never seen those in my Wal-Mart. Maybe I overlooked.

RAI - I just checked Walmart online, and Love My Nails isn't listed on their website, so maybe it's just a case of some Walmarts have them and some dont.

RAI - I found the maker/dist. of Love My Nails, I added the link to my Nail Polish Brands links. It is Bari Cosmetics. They also make the Pure Ice and Perfect 10 brands of Nail Polish too. You can buy it on their site, but you have to buy it in like packs of 4 or something (of the same color). I added an edit to the post asking for anyone who knows where they get it to let us know in the comments section.
