DIAMOND COSMETICS REVIEW - PART 1

I am doing this review in two parts. Part 1 I am featuring DIAMOND COSMETICS 2009 Summer Collection. First let's take a look at the pics:

OH, TIFF!

This color was one of the one's that I was really excited about trying out. I love the light blue color of this. I had no application or formula issues with this color. This did require three coats. In real life this is a little less "bright" and more of a green/grey tint to the blue, sort of in between the flash pic and room light pic.

DON'T TEAL MY HEART AWAY
I LOVED this color on! This color just looked so awesome on ladies. I was wishing I would have swatched this one last so I could have left it on as my NOTD. It was absolutely flattering on me. This one was a little on the thick side and you could really get away with one GOOD coat. This is two though. Again, the color is a little off. This has a little Dirty, Sexy Money look to it. A bit lighter than what it came out in my pics.

FIERY CORAL
WOWSER! This color is really pretty! This one has the same kind of flaky, shimmer to it that Hot Summer Pink has. I loved this color too! I mean really, does this look like a $2 bottle of nail polish?? This one applied like a dream as well. I used three coats, but two really was sufficient.

PINK PASSION
Another fantastic color here. This is just a basic pink creme. It applied with no problems and only required two coats. Very nice color, but a little on the "safe" side.

COTTON CANDY
This was the only one out of the bunch that I really didn't like. The formula and application were good, and it only required 2 coats. I just didn't like the color. It reminded me of a grandma color. And with this being the fourth pink out of the bunch I wish Diamond Cosmetics would have went with something a little bit different for their summer collection, like maybe a glitter or a yellow or green. This does have that really nice flaky shimmer to it though which I liked.

Yes!! That is the same polish!! The color really went peachy in indoor lighting.
HOT SUMMER PINK
This was the one I wore yesterday, but I am including it again since it is part of the Summer Collection. Of course I LOVE this color: its hot, its pink, its loud, its shimmery! This one was a little on the thick side, but my bottle of thinner can fix that right up. This only took two coats, but I did three just because I like to! This color is so bright and pink, this says SUMMER to me.

MY OVERALL OPINION (so far)
Ok, so so far I am pretty damn impressed with this brand of nail polish! The colors I used have been very pigmented, I was shocked knowing these only cost $2 ea. I can easily say that out of these 6 colors I would buy 5 of them (Sorry Cotton Candy). There were no real application issues at all. I really don't know about drying time since I always use Seche (and if you don't, well then expect to wait for them to dry I guess :)lol) I also like that they mixed it up with the shimmers & cremes, brights and safe colors, it really has something to fit everyone I think.
Also of course, as I told you yesterday, all sales of Don't Teal My Heart Away Diamond Cosmetics donates 25 cents to the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition.
Tomorrow I will have the final four colors for you all, so tune in then. You can CLICK HERE to check out Diamond Cosmetics website. Please note that they are currently redesigning it so you may run into a few kinks, these should be worked out soon.
So far, WHAT DO YOU THINK?
