ORLY SATIN ORDEAL

This week I not only rec'd my replacement bottle of Orly Satin - Satin Passion, but I also rec'd a bottle of the original I ordered, Grace (the yellow one).

I had a wonderful reader that contacted me letting me know that she had ordered the yellow Orly and asked if I would like it. Of course I said YES! I swapped with her one of my polishes of her choice in return.

This polish is super runny and super thin, it is like they bottled up a urine sample, lol! I plan on doing a little franken magic in hopes of improving this and making it more like the original "buttah in a bottle" picture I first saw. Any of you franken whiz's have any ideas, please let me know.

Orly Satin Passion looks more like the purple one that I have. It definitely looks a lot more opaque than the yellow and white ones I got. I will try and get some swatches of this one done tonight for you all.

That red is pretty.

I have Grace too, just in a smaller bottle. I just put a couple of coats over a pale yellow/gold polish and it looks really nice. Yeah, it's thin & watery, but try it over another color, because the satin finish looks really great with this color. It's subtle and I bet it would look great with a Konad pattern over it (then you couldn't use a topcoat though).

this woman (ebay seller from detroit) has been messing up bad lately, this same thing happened to me last week except she sold me orly breathless then said it was out of stock, so i got opi hey get in lime as the replacement, well she sent that but she didn't send the rest of my order, i ended up getting the rest of my order a week later with another opi hey get in lime in the package, i let her know and she said to keep it but it sounds like she really needs to get organized, especially if the nail board people have discovered her lol

Glad you got your replacement. Urine in a bottle sounds just like something I would like, NOT! I hope someone can help you with that. It would be a shame to lose the satin finish. I hope you let the nail board people know about her. It's really a shame if she's doing this to others. Can't wait to see the red.

I swear I had that Passion color back in the day. I bought it at Sally's in Moore- I remember tracking it down!
