NAIL WHITENER PRODUCTS TESTED

Yesterday I told you all that I decided my nails needed some whitening. My normal process to get rid of staining on my nails is to use my nail buffer. However, this does take a toll on my nails, and since I am currently using my Barielle treatments, I didn't think that would be right. So I headed on over to Sally's and found two products:

Bubble White

ASP Whitening Nail Paste

I could go on and on about the steps I took, and what was required, and yada yada - but I'm not. You wanna know why................because neither of these products did a damn thing!!! lol

Seriously, I did not even notice a "slight" change in color from either of these two products. The Bubble White, I wasn't really expecting much, but the ASP Whitening Nail Paste, that one I was. I expected more because it clearly says: Removes Stains from Dark Nail Polish.

And then to top it all off it has a before and after picture shown on the box, so needless to say my expectations were high.

Let's see how my nails turned out, shall we!!

What a disappointment!! Save your money folks, don't buy either of these products!
  • Have any of you all tried either of these products??
  • IF so, what were YOUR results?
  • Does anyone have a suggestion for a nail whitening treatment that you KNOW works?

I bought some paste to whiten the nails, but now I can't find it.

It sucks cause my nails look like little carrots, they're that orange lol.

Bummer it didn't work :(
I haven't tried any whiteners as of yet, but I am kind of curious about the Orly Nail Whitener... Anyone tried it?

RAI - Yup! They exist, but your nails probably arn't as stained, so you probably never needed something like it before.

PIXIE - LOL at little carrots!! My bf made another comment last night about how come my nails were orange, lol. I told him to just shut up and take the pic, lol- j/k

VANESSA - I have not, and I haven't heard about it either. I wonder if it is at Sallys?

I have been looking at it at H2T.

I, too, was enticed by the claims of the ASP whitener. And I was also just as disappointed! I don't know about you, but the one thing the ASP DID do was dry my nails out something terrible! After using it, I was so concerned about how dry and brittle my nails looked that I waited about two days before I painted them (Gasp, 48 hours with naked nails! You can imagine how torturous that was!!). I spent that whole time rubbing any kind of moisturizer I could find into my nails.

ASP, you get a big fat FAIL from me.

RACHEL - Well that's two people disapointed with that product. I didn't notice that it dried mine out though, of course I painted right over them when i was done with the whitening test though.
