Last night I decided to bust out my konad and an un-tried OPI that a bought a couple of weeks ago. I was so pleased with the results of this, I have a TON of pics of it for you all!
I used for the base three coats of OPI - Eiffel for this Color. You can't really tell from my pics, but this is a dark purple color.
Then I used one of the new China Glaze - Joy (I think the collection is called Romantiques). Joy is a purple shimmer color. I thought it would go great with the dark purple base of Effiel for This Color. I LOVE IT! It is the day after I did this mani and I am still catching myself looking at it.

I'm so into purples right now- that is gorgeous!
You're right it is hard to tell that Eiffel for this Color is a dark purple. It really looks like a black. Except for that close-up pic of your nail, then I can tell. It's still pretty and I do like the idea of using a lighter purple for a Konad.
Very pretty, thanks!
It's gorgeous, vampy and sweet at the same time, love it!
SASHA - Thanks! I go through color stages!
NESSA - You could do a search on one of the other blogs like The Polish Addict or Scrangie to get a true to life color pic. Thanks!
OLGA - Thank you! :)
Really cute! I have that plate but I could never visualize it on the nail so haven't used that pattern ... you may have inspired me again, Brooke, I was just considering if I wanted to Konad my next mani - I think I know the answer now!
Gorgeous!! Stunning! I just love this look...great color choices. :-)
COLETTE - A little late with my response - since I saw you used this the other day. Looked great on you!
JAMIE - Thanks! I thought it looked very profesional - which is unusual for me anyway :)
