FUNKY FRENCH NAIL ART

It's been a while since I have done just some plain ol' nail art. Last night I wanted to use some of my new OPI's I got from Ulta, and I couldn't decide between Rosey Future - a really light, shimmery pink or Lourve me Lourve me not - a really dark purple with flashes of micro glitter. So I decided to do a funky french - since maybe you have noticed MY NAILS ARE GROWING!! I feel like I actually have some nails now! It almost seems like these things grew over night or something, doesn't it!

Anyway I painted the base of my nails with two coats of Rosey Future. Then I free handed the dark purple french tips with Lourve me Lourve me not. I wasn't to pleased with the two colors together for some reason, I didn't hate but I didn't love it either. That's when I busted out the silver Stripe Rite nail art pen and laid out a silver dividing line. Still not quite pleased, I added two little swoops off both ends of the silver line. Aaaahhhhh - some nail art I can finally be satisfied with.

I must admit I can't quit looking at this today. I just looooove it. When I showed Ricco last night he said it was the best that my nails have looked in a while :) (to which I should have said - oh really? does that mean my nails looked like crap all the days before?? hahaha! you know how us crazy women are!)

I have a great idea for tonight's mani - using Do you lilac it (for you RAI) and Lourve me Lourve me not, my diagonal design, and this silver line design from above.....the creative juices are flowing!

Brooke this is a gorgeous manicure! I really love it. I also love the combination of colors. Did you take some overnight nail growing pills! Hehe. They really have grown. Looking so pretty.

LUCY - Thank you so much! Ha! If there were some overnight growing pills I would have taken them months ago, lol! I think the design helps make them look longer, but they really have grown out quite a bit.

NESSA - Thanks! I hope your house hunting is working out :)

Yes, it took a couple of months, but my nails are finally starting to grow out. They still don't look just great with out nail polish, but at least they are getting long :)

CLOCKWORK - Thank you. I really liked the silver addition too. I normally wouldn't have thought these three colors would have gone together so well.

KAE - Thank you. I just found your blog! I remember your submission on my nail art contest I had, you are very talented. I would like to add your blog to next weeks New Blogs on the Block post. I see yours has been around a while, but it's new to me :)

I was so busy today I'm just now trying to catch up on everyone's blogs! That is a stunning manicure, you have some talent! Does Dinky like those little boots? She looks a bit irritated in that picture!

Brooke,
Love your nails! Wow that pink is ver natural looking in some of the pics but I can see the little glimmer in it in others. I am going to have to try something like that soon. I don't have the opi colors but i've got similar. Plus i've got the stripe rite. I love the shape of your nails. Can you give me a few hits or do you have an older post I can look up for shaping?

Thanks
Lisa
