GOODIES FROM MOM

My mom is under strict orders to pick up all nail polish while out hitting the junk (aka thrift) stores or garage sales. She picked up a little basket of nail polish for me last week, and there were some pretty good ones, so I thought I would share.

First up, there were three OPI's.

The first two I think have something to do with Ulta because of the spelling of the names. Ulta-Mate Party Girl I did find out was an Ulta LE for 2004 Holidays. But I don't know if Ulta-Mate Ruby was part of that or not. The other Mat-Adore Red looks to be a bright, jelly red.

There was even a Zoya with an old Beauty Co sticker on it showing $3.99 - this baby is old too.

These three are from Bath & Body Work and two of them are scented, although I haven't tried to smell them. I wasn't even aware that BBW sold nail polish. Anyone know if they still sell these? Or know anything about them??

This last one I was really excited about, and then I opened the little mini bottle and it was so dried up! I mean nothing was moving and it is almost empty. I am trying to restore it and plan on adding some more clear polish in hopes to be able to use this in time for Halloween. This is one from Old Navy and the bottle is tiny!

Great polish!! I have never seen any nail polishes at yard sales or anywhere like that. How lucky your mom found all of those. :)

Brooke - lol. I still have them. Where can I buy nail polish thinner at?

You should just throw out that Old Navy polish. I know it looks awesome, but don't let it fool you. I used to have holiday colored glitters from Old Navy and they would BURN my fingernails so much I couldn't wear them. They smelled like toxic death and then hardened into rocks. They are bottles of sparkly lies!!

Wowza, what a haul! I used to work at Old Navy. (Five looong years.) Don't know if the glitter was before or after my time but I do know the other ones were big balls of disappointment! Just FYI if mom stumbles upon them.

I hope you can save that glitter! It looks so cute!

RAI - At Sally's of course!! :) It is pretty cheap, just look where they keep all the top coats and treatment type stuff.

I remember the BBW nail polish. My favorite polish for a long time was an iridescent glitter from them. They came with little charms on the bottle that were super cute! I still have the charms on a charm bracelet, but the polishes are long gone. :( I found one with the charm on ebay for reference Color Drops Polish.

I had the Bath and Body works polishes, like three or four of them! Mine had charms on them too. They were quite pretty. Boy, was that back in the day. I know it was before I dated my hubby! Hahaha. I don't know if they still make polish, haven't stepped foot into a Bath and Body Works in years.

The older Zoya is AWESOME! :) I never thought to look for polishes at thrift stores or yard sales.

I had those exact polishes from BBW and they are horrible. I bought them because they had charms on them that were really cute. I finally threw them out. I also had some polish from Old Navy, it is just gross. I would get so frustrated trying to use it because I loved the color. But they never worked, just a waste of time.

Nice find by Mom. I have a BBW polish but it's a mini and doesn't look a thing like those. I hope your Old Navy will work. It looks really pretty.

I think I remember seeing some holiday nail polish sets on the BBW website last week.
