SINFUL COLORS TROPICAL COLORS

(Pic borrowed from Nessa at CONTESTS AND SUCH . . . )

Ok, so Sinful Colors Tropical Colors collection is eluding the Walgreens here in Oklahoma. Who else has seen these and does anyone know the names of the colors?

That's a picture above of the collection that Nessa at Contests and Such . . . snapped.

Anyone who has any information on this is urged to contact me and you can remain
anonymous :)

UPDATE : I sent an email to Sinful to request info on this collection, but I'm not holding my breath on a response - so still let me know if anyone knows anything about this !!

WHAT IS KONAD

Sometimes I forget and think EVERYONE knows the same things that I do. I had someone ask me "What exactly is konad?", and it made me realize that there was a time when I didn't know what Konad was either. So I am just going to do a basic little run down of what konad is, how to use it & most importantly where to get it.

WHAT IS IT:

Konad Stamping Nail Art ™ is a new and innovative nail-imprinting kit that allows you to stamp beautiful pre-designed images on your nails in minutes! Our kits do not hold back on quality, it delivers beautiful delicate images that hand painting cannot achieve.
Not only are the kits cost effective and time saving, but they are also versatile; You can also use them on accessories like sunglasses, cell phones, earrings, and almost anywhere you wish!
(Taken from Konadusa.com)
Konad is sold in several different handy kits that you are sure to find at least one that will suit your needs.

HOW IT WORKS:

Apply base coat or regular polish on nail.

Apply Konad Special Nail Polish to desired image within a plate.

Scrape across Plate with the Scraper to remove excessive polish.

Quickly press the stamper onto the plate to pick up the design.

Stamp the image onto your nail with a gentle rolling motion or just press down and lift up immediately.

For lasting wear, apply top coat slightly and quickly. (see above for instruction)
(All images and text taken from konadusa.com)

Pretty easy, right! Me personally I picked right up on how to do it. I have heard of others having a little trouble at first, but after a few tries they get it down. I do have a little advice for those of you who are thinking of purchasing this.

First:
Make sure you get the plastic scrapper. Your kit might include a metal one, but it is best to go ahead an buy a plastic one. The reason why I was told is because the metal ones will scratch up your metal image plates. See below:

The black scraper is the all plastic one. The pink one has a metal edge that is used to scrape the paint off.

Second:

Konad will tell you that their special paint is what you NEED to use. Obviously you can see through all the konads I have done, this isn't the case. However, I do think it is nice to have a couple of the konad paints like the white and black. They work really well.

WHERE TO BUY:

Konad USA's website caters to USA and Canada. They have a FIND A RETAILER map here.

KONAD STAMPING NAIL ART - This is where I placed my order for some more plates. But you can buy everything you need here too. Here is an example of one of their kits:

Konad Custom Advance Set
Contents:- 4 Small Special Polish (Your Choice)-

3 Image Plates (Your Choice)-

1 Stamp-

1 Scraper

This kit costs $29.90

They have kits that run from $13.90 all the way up to $399.00.

Their indivual plates run $5.90 ea.

WOWSOCOOL - This place will sell just about the same things as the website listed above. The prices at both places are about the same too. The only difference I can see is that WowSoCool ships from the US and Konad Stamping Nail Art will ship out of Japan.

So what are you waiting for? Go get you one and start having fun with nail polish :)

BRANDING IRON BUTTERFLIES

This Konad-i-cure is what I am wearing today. I am using two new nail polishes. For the base I used China Glaze - Branding Iron. This color is everything I thought it would be, which is WONDERFUL. This color is what the majority of my nail polish consisted of before I really started adding to my collection. This is just the perfect color for my skin tone I think. I used China Glaze - Passion for the konad stamping.

Here is what I used:

I used the butterfly in the center and the little butterfly for my pinky nails.

Here are the results:

Do you see how nice and bright and shiny that gold is? When I brushed it on the stamp plate it didn't look like much, but as soon as I stamped it on the nail it really popped!

READER REQUEST

Yesterday I had a comment from one of my fabulous readers that they would like to see the Houndstooth pattern I did on my nails done in the traditional black and white.
Here is what I used:
Konad Plate M63

Konad Special Polish in White

China Glaze - Liquid Leather

I had a couple of smudges due to my own error and then I didn't clean off my stamper as well as I thought because when I used the red paint for my thumb (more on that below) I didn't get it all off because you can see a little of the red paint on my middle finger. However, I still believe that you can get the idea.

I have never used my Konad Special Polish in red, so I thought I would try the red on my thumb. The white polish is so pigmented that I thought the red would have shown up more vibrantly than it did. It ended up looking brown when stamped over black.

SEXIEST FANTASIES . . . . .ohhh la la!

Have you seen these new body sprays and matching lotions? They are new and I have been seeing them at local drug stores around town. Today while at Walgreens I decided I needed one, I think the name and packaging got to me. Walgreens will have these on sale starting Feb. 27th. When you buy the body spray ($6.99) you get the lotion ($3.59 value) for free. Seven bucks seems pretty expensive for some body spray imo. The special they are gonna run seems ok though, $7.00 is worth it for both. I decided to get one of the lotions since it was cheaper.

I picked the yellow one, it's called Fireworks. Here is what it says on the back about Fireworks:

Fireworks
A burst of sensuality as plump wild strawberries, succulent peaches, and voluptuous vanilla come together to create a fragrance as addictive and seductive as the woman who wears it…sure to drive any man wild!

If that last part doesn't describe me, I don't know what will - lmao!!
OMG - I smell so goood!! The plus is that the scent lasts! I was worried that it would smell good all of about an hour, but so far today everytime I have had my hands next to my face I can smell it. It isn't an overpowering smell either, I think it is just right.

I took pics of my bottle, so if you want to read the ingredients just click the pics to enlarge them and it should be big enough for you to read.

The real test will be tonight, if my BF notices how good his woman smells then I will be back on the 27th to get a body spray and another lotion.

CHRISTMAS IN FEBRUARY

At least that is what it looks like here on my desk at work. It is covered in new nail polish ladies, and honestly I am bit ashamed (only just a weeee bit) at how much there is! I got my Nfu Oh order in today, and then I had to go get the Shamrock Colors and then low and behold Polish Pixie and I's order came in!!

China Glaze - Agent Lavender & China Glaze - L8R G8R

China Glaze - Summer Days Collection
