HELLO KITTY - GLITTERFIED

Here is my NOTD - a sparkly, glittery, Hello Kitty stamped masterpiece, lol. This came about after sitting at the dining room table for at least an hour with NOTHING working out! I tried several things and they just weren't turning out how I imagined, so I went with my no fail Hello Kitty stamp.

I used Sally Hansen polish for the base colors and then used red and blue Hot Topic glitters for the top. I just LOVE how the hot pink Sally Hansen with the red Hot Topic glitter came out looking bright cherry red, instead of dark red. These are super sparkly and just look awesome! Enjoy :)
**EDIT**
The HELLO KITTY stamp I ordered from Ebay - it isn't Konad brand. Here is a link to some for sale.

OMG I love it!
LOVE LOVE LOVE it!
Btw, I think we have the same phone and phone case. I have a hot pink hard case like that for my G1.

PHYRRA - I have a Xenon phone, don't know if it is the same as yours or not. My stepmom got me this hot pink cover, and it makes it soooo much easier trying to find my phone in the bottom of my purse instead of the dark blue that it normally is.

JEN - HK ROCKS! You can't go wrong with HK and glitter, right?

Phyrra said...

Aww, no, not the same phone, but the case looks nearly identical :)
And that's why I wanted the bright pink too, to make it easier to find! Plus when my phone gets dropped on my concrete floors, the case breaks apart to absorb the shock, leaving my phone in 1 piece and fine, instead of dead. Good stuff :)

I love this look! I need this stamp so I can do this on my girls, they would love it!

Brooke said...

PHYRRA - I know about the dropping! Seems like I never drop it on carpet, it is always outside on the concrete! This case will def. help protect against my butter fingers.

KITTY - What are you trying to say??? I'm to OLD for Hello Kitty? lol - I'm teasing. Thank you, the collection on ebay seemed pretty cheap, around $7.00 for 6 plates, but I didn't check on the shipping.

I have concrete floors in my entire house, as well as outside in my lanai, etc, and it NEVER fails that my dog (a very tall standard poodle) will fling all 40 lbs of herself on the bed, my phone will be on the bed and go sailing through the air to land on the floor, with the case breaking off, leaving my phone intact, and the dog with the expression of 'What mom? I didn't see it there!'

PHYRRA - I have seen some concrete floors inside and some of them look really awesome! How did you do yours? I was going to ask if it bothered you in the winter time, but I then I remembered you were in FL - you don't really HAVE a winter time! LOL! Does having concrete floors help keep your house any cooler in the summer?

Hehe, I LOVE the floors! I have bad allergy problems and the concrete floors, plus the hypoallergenic pet, really help. The woman we bought our home from was an interior designer so she did some really neat acid etched concrete floors in art deco sort of designs so just a few arches and circles or squares per room, not overwhelming but a nice touch.

The link goes to the design in my bedroom:

PHYRRA - Oh wow! Those do look cool! My sister had thought about doing the stained concrete floors in their house a while back, I hadn't seen any of these acid etched ones though, that's really awesome.

Basically the designer used acid to etch the designs, then used the stain colors for the concrete for the circles and squares and arches etc.

I really like the look and think it's a nice alternative to tile or wood floors.

We've been in this home for 3 years and I don't miss carpet at all, with 1 exception. I miss having carpet in my living room because it's just not comfortable to sit or lay on the floor on concrete.

*sigh* I love that HK stamp! Its the only reason I want to try Konading. I got some fake plates and its harder than it looks! I gotta give it to you, it looks great!!

I love HK on you! I had to wait quite a while for my fauxnad plates since they came all the way from Hong Kong!

Adorable! Love the glitter!

I ordered those plates as well but I could never get the designs to pick up. I've tried many different polishes but nothing worked. Any tips?

The Hollywood Memoirs:

I also had that problem with the Fauxnad plates, did you realise (because I didn't!) that they have a thin plastic covering on them? It just peels off...

Oh my gosh, Jen! Thank you SOOO much! I didn't realize there was a plastic film on the plates but once I took it off the worked beautifully! I'm so excited, now!
