DIAMOND COSMETICS - FALL 09 COLLECTION REVIEW

Good morning! Today I have the Diamond Cosmetics Fall 09 Collection Review.

#329 - SWEET AS SUGAR
2 Coats, NO topcoat
I'm not a "sheer" lover by any means, but I knew looking at this one in the bottle I would like it. The name is perfect, because it really does look like sugar! I think this would make a great gradient mani. This applied really well and I was pleased with this color.

#330 - SO BERRY SWEET
2 Coats, NO topcoat
This is just your basic pink/red creme. Nothing really unique about this color. This applied really nice and was opaque in just two coats.

#331 - NEVER SO EVERGREEN
3 coats, NO topcoat
This is the one I just *knew* was going to be my favorite (it isn't though!). This color did not disappoint as I was applying it. The color of this is really amazing and pretty unique I think. I can't think of another color that is like this. The base color is a great forrest green and then it has tons of this gold shimmer going through out it. You really need to enlarge the pics to show all the complexity of this color. My only complaint - this one was a little thick. Of course that is easily remedied by adding a little np thinner to it. Usually the quality of Diamond Cosmetics polishes are really great, so I think it was just one of those things. I took extra pics for you all since I know this was the color that you all were buzzing about :) This is one of those dark green colors that still look green even indoors and in the shade. In the sun pics I think it has an olive green look to it. Really an amazing color!

#332 - PLUM PIE IN THE SKY
3 coats, NO topcoat
So I mentioned before that Never so Evergreen was supposed to be my fave and it wasn't. Well THIS ended up being my favorite! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this color! This color is just awesome! It looks so many different colors and for a creme I think that is almost impossible. Some lights it looks plum, others it looks dark grey, other lights it looks like a dark blueish grey. This polish is so glossy and wonderful. I couldn't quit looking at this color when I swatched it. This one was thick too, but I thinned it out and it worked great. I loved this color so much I painted this on my nails again for today's NOTD and I am loving the mani I want to wear it another day! It is raining again today, but I really hope to get some more sun pics of this color for you all. Either way, trust me - GET THIS COLOR!!

#333 - THE NAUGHTY INTERN
2 coats, NO topcoat
LMAO at the name! DC doesn't disappoint with their polish names, or their polish as a matter of fact. This was my least favorite color from the collection - just because I am not a fan of brick colored reds, although they work really good with my skin tone. This is a really nice color and polish, just not an exciting color and one that probably most people already have. This one wasn't thick, so I don't know why my swatch is so messy. Also, apparently I totally forgot to take the bottle with me when I took pics! Whoopsie!

#334 - ANGELIC
3 coats, NO topcoat
This was another surprise color. I LOVE this color. It just made my nails look so fresh and clean. My nails actually have a yellow tint to them, which was totally unnoticeable after applying this polish. I was super pleased with this polish. This would be a great color to use for french mani's and for those who like a natural look. I think it would also look awesome to have this as a base color and then do colored konad stamps over this. Another color I totally recommend from this collection.

OVERALL: I think this collection kicks butt! I would recommend getting all these! DC has really surprised me with their polishes. I think it is great that they not only sell their polishes at a great price, but they don't skip on all the good stuff. At two dollars they still take the time to come up with great & sometimes cutesy names, their formula is spot on 99% of the time, they come up with great, complex colors, AND they come out with collections!! What can I say, I'm a fan for life! I literally can't wait for their next collection, I'm dying to see what they come up with!!

All these colors are available on their website and sell for $2 each.

I have the Evergreen and Plum Pie on my list to buy on my next order. I'm wearing their polish Froggy. I've been wearing it for 5 days! I just have tip wear so I'm very pleased with their polish. Love those colors on you, especially the Plum.

Thanks for swatching, I am in love with the Sweet as sugar, you're right it would make a fantastic gradient. I'm imagining it covered with little doughnuts and ice creams :D
