PLAYBOY COLLECTION . . . NAIL POLISH COLLECTION, THAT IS!!

Day two of SWATCH WEEK. I am bringing (sexy back!!) the Playboy collection I picked up at Gordmans last week.

I didn't really know what to expect with this polish, but to say the least my expectations weren't high. This polish is actually pretty good! Playboy almost got a WIN for this, if it weren't for their use of cheap brushes. The brushes totally ruined this polish. The formula was excellent on these. All were opaque with ONE COAT! Even the yellow one was pretty opaque. The brushes though - what a nightmare! It is like the bristles were too stiff, they would just rake the polish away in spots. Also the brushes were just all splayed out on the ends like an uneven fan shape. This fan shape was unintentional, like the brushes just couldn't hold up to being kept in polish for an extended period of time. As a side effect of the brushes being so messed up it caused air bubbles to appear on my nails too! Such a shame Playboy, you really have some nice nail polish formula on your hands ( haha, no pun was intended!).
One last thing, the dry time was a little bit longer for these than normal, even with a top coat of Seche, but nothing drastic.

So all in all I'm glad I got these, some of these colors are just amazing!! I am just loving the blue, pink and green! Not bad for $5.99. You will notice my swatches on the first two aren't great, it took me a bit to get used to working with that damn wonky brush!!

Those colors are beautiful, its a shame that the brushes suck so much!

The green and blue I really like. They are all nice shades. Shame you can't change out the brushes.

Oh wow. I am pleasantly surprised how nice those look. But bad brushes can ruin any polish.

The blue is awesome I really like it!! I'd be tempted to almost transfer them to a new bottle with a better brush

These look a lot nicer than I thought they would. They look really nice. Too bad they come with a really sucky brush. :(

Haha,
I love your post and the comments about the brush. Of course a Playboy Polish has a stiff brush, what else should we expect... ;-)

Lovely colors!
