PLAYING WITH MY NEW PLATES

I needed to try out my new fauxnad plates last night. I am so pleased with them I was, once again, sitting at my dining room table squealing with delight over my nails, while Ricco, Little and Dinky gave me side eyes. But, who cares.... I was in nail polish heaven! Wooooot!

The images below are just some quick stamps of the designs I was most excited to use. I just LOVE the color combo though! I keep thinking Grecian god for some reason.

**UPDATE: Colors used were the Peach from the Claires pastels and stamped with China Glaze Hi-Tek.

I think this is supposed to look like snake skin, but I don't really see it here. Don't know if it is the design or if I needed a less shiny, bolder looking color like a black or brown. It was hard to capture this without the huge flash going across the nail. In the pictures above with no flash you can see it a little bit better.

LOVED THIS!!!!! This had a couple of birds on the plate too, so this sort of has a bird nest look to it. I can't tell you how much this stamp is tickling my fancy! I redid my nails last night and used this stamp. And the design is huge! This would work on long nails, I can't tell you how much I love that about these new plates. Their full nail designs are much larger and will work on much longer nails.

This is a FRENCH TIP design that I used on my whole nail! Does that give you an idea on just how much larger these designs are compared to konads? If I worked for Konad I would be redesigning my plates stat before these fauxnaders come in and take all my business. This feather looks awesome! I can just see this with a bright base color and using black for the stamp, it would just have so much POP to it.

This one was a feather type design. This one was a little harder to work with in that I don't think it is either etched as deep, or it is just such a delicate design that it just didn't stand out much on my nail. I still love it though and look forward to trying it out with different color combos.

This is another french tip plate that I used to cover my whole nail! You can see how long this nail is, so imagine that this would work for french tipping some really long nails. It is the design of a leaf and it is just gorgeous! It is subtle but still stands out. I bought this plate with my Mom in mind since she loves leaf designs, but I can see me using this one on a regular basis.

As I said yesterday I ordered my plates online from Chez-Delaney. I know a couple of you told me in the comments that you had problems ordering from there. This was my first order placed and everything went smooth for me. I think it only took like about a 1 and 1/2 weeks (about 10 days) to get my stuff. Coming from France, I would think that is a normal amount of time. I even had a question and emailed them and I got a response back from them no problem. So I really don't know why some of you had problems getting your orders. Maybe try emailing them and asking the status. And before any of you think that I might have gotten special treatment since I am a blogger, as far as I know they don't know that I blog and probably still don't know that I do.

Wow - I love that these fauxnad plates are loooong for girls with longer nails; you are right about konad getting on that.

This is one of the most gorgeous color combinations I've ever seen! And I totally agree tha Konad should make their images bigger! I have wide nails and it's just frustrating sometimes and it would be so easy to fix!

The leaf is so pretty! Good to know there's a way to "konad" even if your nails are somewhat long :-)
