FRANKIE JOINS THE NAVY AND GOT SLIMED BABY!

Again, killing two birds with one stone here. I picked out Carolyn NY - Frankie Joins the Navy. This color was very strange. It was really dark in the bottle, verging on almost black. I picked it because it was the closest thing to black that I had in my untrieds. However, when I applied the first coat it was SHEER, even after a second it had a sheerness to it! How can this be so dark in the bottle and come out looking so sheer? I used two coats of Frankie. I forgot to snap just pics of Frankie though, I guess I was really excited about laying Claire's - Slime over the top!

Claire's - Slime was really, really thick! This color has a very green clear base to it with chunky, different sized holo glitter in it. I suggest you all run out and get this color - STAT! I LOVE this polish with a passion! The thickness can easily be thinned down, but with all the glitter I kind of liked it a little on the thick side, I think maybe it helped grab and hold lots of the glitter to the brush. To top it all off, this is smooth! No grittiness in site with this color ladies. I can't say enough about this mani! I think Frankie was the perfect under color, since it wasn't so dark it helped keep that sort of teal, greenish blue tint to this mani. Come on gals, tell me what you think of this beauty!!

Also, the blurry pictures were kept to show off all that holo bright shiny - ness!

MY UNTRIED NAIL POLISH BOX

Look at all that nail polish waiting to be tried out! I got some work to do! I realize here lately most of my posts have been hauls. SO I am going to be working long and hard on swatching alot of these untried colors and adding some konad stamps to alot of them.

Also, as a side note to those of you who wanted more drugstore brand swatches, after my dollar tree haul, I have several Maybelline & Sally Hansen's to try out, so be looking for those posts in the very near future.

BLUE OVER A BOY UNDER YEL

For this NOTD I killed two birds with one stone, I used two of my "untrieds". I used Misa's - Blue Over A Boy. I must say when I saw the color in the bottle I was a little disappointed. I just ordered this a few weeks ago, but when I got it, I thought "I picked this color?". However, once on my nails I really liked the color. I did two coats of Blue Over A Boy. This was a really creamy blue. However, if you look at my pinky nail there was some dragging that occurred with this color.

Next, I used my new Claire's - Yel. This was the blue based holo glitter filled color. It was way to sheer to use on its own - dang it. I used Yel to layer over the top of Blue Over A Boy. Wow! This looked really good! I'm really getting in to this whole "layering" thing.

There were also some of these Xtreme Wear's coupled with the ones above. Look at that beauty on the end, the black one. It is called #25 Night Lights. It is a black base with tons of holo glitter. I can't wait to try this color out. Look at the close ups I did of this:

Needless to say, my "untrieds" box is filled to it's limits!

MIRROR IMAGE

Here are my Maybelline Mirror Image lovelies! Doesn't look like much in their packages, huh! When I saw these at Dollar Tree (DT) I wasn't for sure if these were going to work. They claim to give you a "mirror effect". I was really skeptical, so I only grabbed three packages of these my first trip to DT. So when I got home I tried these out, I was really anxious to see if these were going to be all they claimed they would be. Ladies - these totally are worth it! I was really impressed and knew I would be going back to DT to pick up the remaining packages of these! I now own all 8 of these, lol.

This is a two step process. First you paint your nails with the white, creamy looking one. It says not to shake this bottle. Next, after the first coat is dry, you add the silver one. The silver one looks in the bottle sort of a matte color. It also goes on the nail looking very matte as well. However, as the polish dries it starts to get that mirrored look that it claims to have. I would compare this to the pics of the Minx nails that I have seen. The package says that you can add multiple coats of this to enhance the mirror image effect. I used two coats of this.

OUTSIDE, IN LATE AFTERNOON SUNLIGHT

While looking for something shiny to compare these to, I had to look no further than the Coors Light bottle I was currently consuming! It was a perfect match I think :)


So tell me, does anyone know if these are hard to find? Did I find something really cool? What do you all think of this nail polish?

IT'S ALL ABOUT DINKY

I figured I would get all the Dinky pics out of the way. Lots of dresses and cute shots of her in them - these dresses were only a BUCK at the wonderful Dollar Tree!

My girl is such a little poser!Dinky has a thing for feathers. I got this little head thing for the up coming St. Patrick's Holiday. I took this picture myself. Can you see that she is standing on her hind legs trying to eat the feathers........lol, she cracks me up.

I think this is one of the best pics I have of her.

I know this is out of focus, but it was too funny not to post. I caught her in the middle of a yawn - lol!We had a little mini super bowl party on Sunday night, so I thought I would share a few pics of the humans I have and love in my life!

DOLLAR TREE TREATS GALORE

Well ladies, most of my weekend has been spent at Dollar Tree! I came across some really great stuff, since it is so much stuff I am going to break it up into a couple of posts for you guys. I found a ton of Sally Hansen Prism's, Fire Opal's and Star Opals. I also found Maybelline Mirror Images!!! I took all that Sally's had to offer baby! I also found four pretty dresses for the baby Dinky, too! So I hit about 5 different DT's and guess what........I found zip at all the others! Why is it that some DT's carry a ton of nail polish, while others will not carry any at all? I am still pleased with my haul, especially my mirror images. I don't know if those are hard to find or not, but I am so amazed with how it turned out. So please check back in with me, I got lots of posts for you all with a ton of pictures!
