IT'S MY CIVIC DUTY.....

Well ladies I just got my first notification that I am to serve jury duty. I have always wanted to do this (on an interesting case) but it couldn't have come at a worse time. I have to report in at 8 am on Monday morning. My son has his big end of school program on Tuesday - he has memorized lines and everything! I'm hoping that this jury duty will turn out to be just a one day event and I will be able to attend the program on Tuesday. So we shall see.

Obviously this means less posts from me during this time - until I know things further though I can't comment on how long that will last until I know on Monday.

I do have some swatches coming up for a few things today, but I might try and post date them so they come up on future dates so that this blog doens't just come to a standstill :) I have Monday's NBOTB post to set up for today to post on Monday - so any I get after today won't be added until next week.

Let's end on a sweet note, shall we? Here are a couple of pics of some little pigs in blankets!!

Nothing better than a warm doggie!! I hope your jury duty doesn't end up being forever. *fingerscrossed*

I had jury duty last fall. Sat as a juror on a mistrial. Was only there for 3 days but it was amazing. The juror who sat next to me is a filmmaker whom I have bumped into since then and he's going to make a movie of the story. -jenb

ANON - How cool! I just hope if this thing does go over in to Tuesday that it will at least be interesting!

they usually call in like 200 people and end up using about 20, so the chance you'll be stuck is slim. i actually had to go last week (first time too!) and i sat there from 8:30 to 3:00 when they told the remaining 12 of us we were free to go. they let batches of people go throughout the day without questioning them, and out of the bunches they questioned, most are let go. you'll probably be home and swatching by lunch! :) you should also have the option to delay, but that may vary by state. here in CT we can submit for a delay basically, if you have a trip or something coming up. they're actually more flexible than you'd think. good luck!

Look at the two little angels. Mostly it's boring just sitting around waiting to be called. Nice if you meet someone who's interesting to talk to. I just bring a good book with me.
