ST PATTY'S DAY MANI
HAPPY ST PATTY'S DAY!! Here is my mani I did. I'm hoping this will last through a couple days of our trip. I almost didn't do a St Patrick's themed mani, I was kind of at a loss of what I should do. I just didn't want to do what every one else has done.
As I sat down and looked at my nail stuff this just kind of came to me and I loved it!! I used New York Summer - Hot Green for the base and used two different colored green glitters. I placed the glitters one by one - which sounds more time consuming that it really was. It only took me about 20 or so minutes to place the glitters. My nails are super sparkly in person and no matter how many times I took pics of it I just couldn't capture it at all.
APPLE OF MY EYE - NOTD
Doesn't this look so boring compared to the Poolside collection I just posted....
I used Loreal - Apple of my Eye, a bright - almost orange red jelly polish. I used a base coat of a flesh colored polish and used 2 coats of Apple of my Eye. The stickers I believe are from Color Club but I am not positive.

NAIL POLISH CELL PHONE CHARMS
How cute is this??? Fellow nail polish blogger Viki (A DAY IN THE LIFE OF DOLLFACE) made this for me at my request - and it couldn't have turned out any cuter!
Everything came so neatly and cutely packaged!
I can't WAIT to whip out my phone - nail polish bottles just a swanggin'!! Viki has opened up her own Etsy shop to sell these - so head on over and take a look. Thanks Viki - I LOVE IT!!
ps - Kae - do the stickers look familiar?? eheheheheh

CHINA GLAZE - POOLSIDE SUMMER COLLECTION REVIEW
FLIP FLOP FANTASY
KIWI KOOL-ADA
POOL PARTY
SUN WORSHIPER
TOWEL BOY TOY
YELLOW POLKA DOT BIKINI
Ok, lets start off with the colors - they are neon and awesome! Perfect colors for a summer collection. None of them were just terribly new or unique - but lovely still the same. For neon lovers out there like me, I would say you need this collection :)
Now, we all know China Glaze is my top nail polish brand - so it pains me to have to say the following. All of these were a pain in the ass to apply.....I know, believe me, it hurts me more than it does you China Glaze. The problem with these is that they are mostly jelly-ish neon polishes. Not a bad thing, but to make them opaque you are looking at a minimum of three coats, mostly four though. Four coats normally wouldn't bother me, except you have to let them all completely!! If you don't you will get cuticle drag. In order for me to swatch these in a timely manner I painted two thin coats then applied a coat of seche to speed up the drying process, then applied one to two more coats as needed then topped them off with another top coat. So I guess its all about time with these in order to get a nice opaque, streak-free coverage.
So for me personally I still love this collection, but I will either apply two coats of top coat if I'm in a hurry or make sure I have enough time to let each coat dry completely before adding another. Neon and jelly lovers I think will find that the extra time involved is worth it.

POOLSIDE COLLECTION - WOOOOOOT!!!
I was reaaaaaalllllllly hoping I was going to be able to review this collection! These neons are soooo Brooke and made by my all time favorite nail polish brand - China Glaze! With the Daylight savings in effect, I hope to get some outside shots of this for you all. I will post the pics either tonight or first thing in the morning!
GOOD MORNING!!
Hey there gals! I have no new blogs to do a NBOTB post today! If you have or know of a nail polish blog, please email me a link to it at getchanailsdid@yahoo.com.
This week is Spring Break and I will be out Wed - Sun. My mom, my son and I are going road tripping through out the state of Oklahoma. The place I picked that I wanted to go is Meers Oklahoma - home of the world famous Meersburger. This is really a world famous burger, seen on Food Network and has won many prizes including being rated one of the TOP 3 burgers in America! Needless to say, I'm really hoping it's going to live up to it's hype! It is supposed to be as big as a dinner plate and on their website looks like this:
So yeah, YUM! Of course I based my pick around food! Lol - anyway, it should be fun and we are all looking forward to hitting the road for a few days and making some great memories.
I don't know how much I will be able to post today and tomorrow so I can have everything done here at work, so this could be the last you hear from me this week. Either way - hope you all have a great week and I will have lots to post about when I return :)

BANDWAGON - I IS ON IT!
I know - you've seen this look everywhere, but I wanted to give it a go. I wanted mine to stand out a bit, so I changed mine up just a tad. Plus, would it really be a "Brooke" mani with out some glitter thrown in there??
I painted my nails with two coats of black polish first, then added the pink part using Klean Color - Neon Pink. Then I used my black glitters and stuck them all along the black part. At a normal distance the black part almost has a snake skin effect to it. I don't know if this is a Win, but it IS different!
LOL - that black blob on my ring finger was supposed to be a heart. Just squint - it will appear!
Bonus Pic:
Bogie ( the office doggy) giving me a look while taking pics of my nails. He better watch out - he might end up with bright pink paws!!

A LITTLE VIDEO GAME RANDOMNESS
I just had to take this picture last night. We just recently signed up for XBOX Live - needless to say it has taken over not only my son's life - but my bf's too. For those who don't know - w/ XBOX Live you can play against others "online" and with a headset you can talk to them while you play too.
As you can see, Ricco wears the headset while Little goes on a killing spree. Little, at 7 years old is far better than my almost 40 yr old bf, so that's why he is at the controls and Ricco does all the talking. They play Modern Warfare and let me tell you - it isn't a quiet game.
By the way, Little must have been in mid blink when I took the picture, so that explains the lazy eyes he has going on.
NOTD - ROYAL PURPLE
Here is my NOTD. You guys know all about cameras hating purple, right? Well instead of trying to get you to imagine what the color is, I found a picture of a shoe that is close to the actual color of my nail polish, so please imagine that color while looking through the pics. When I showed my nails to the BF last night, even he said how awesome this shade of purple was.
For the base I used Klean Color - Neon Purple. I noticed that this polish does something really amazing! It dries to this darker purple shade, but as soon as you put top coat on it - the color comes to life!! It turns lighter and brighter and takes on a neon shade of purple. I don't know what the top coat does to make this happen, but it does! I tried to take some pics to show you, but it was a little hard since the colors are not coming off just right. I did go ahead and post the pic though - it will be at the end of this post.
I thought a gold konad would look awesome with this color and make for a royal looking konad. However, once again this polish played tricks on me. As the gold stamping started to dry it took on a pink tint to it, but not on every nail and not throughout the whole design. If you look at the picture below you can the see the pink tint on the middle nail really well, while my index finger is still very visibly gold.
SO since it turned pink, and I thought it needed a little jazzing up a bit, I added pink glitters one by one along the thicker lines of the stamp. This looks really awesome in person, so flashy! I really prefer using these little glitters - they are cheaper, they don't stand up like jewels and they remove very easy. And I think they flash just as much as using regular jewels. If you haven't tried them, I think you should.
TOP COAT COMPARISON:
My index and ring finger have top coat applied, the middle and pinky have no top coat, see how much darker they are?
