PINK LUST

....as opposed to purple or yellow or green lust?? Pink Lust is a nail polish by Color Club. I love Color Club's nail polish, especially their neons. The name, on the other hand, is a little goofy though. Wouldn't you love to be able to sit in on a nail polish naming brain storm? I mean, I would love to hear some of the rejected names if they decided that PINK LUST was the best one!

Today I have just some plain jane nails for you. That's right, not a drop of a jewel nor a hint of stamp or an outline of a sticker - plain janes. I had originally painted my nails with a Finger Paints polish called Make A Scene! which is very similar to the color of Pink Lust, but after using Seche and waiting for about 40 minutes it still was super soft. I went to go unload the dishwasher and a plastic bowl wreaked havoc on Make A Scene!, so I took it off and used Pink Lust. By the time I got done I just didn't feel like doing anything else nail related, so that's how I end up with the plain janes.

Tonight I will probably do something with this before I take it off to paint it something else, so at least you will have two different nail designs for tomorrow.

NOTD & LIFETIME MOVIE NETWORK

I have a plain jane NOTD for you all. I actually didn't do much with my nails over the weekend. This is what I did to them yesterday. I had intentions of adding a little konad to these babies, but Lifetime Movie Network got in the way.

This color was a little bit of a let down. The shade is so pretty - if you are in direct sunlight! If it isn't, the color takes on a dark, brown tone. blah - -

ooooohhhh, pretty right? too bad it doesn't always look like this - see below!

This is an accurate picture of this color. This is what this polish looks like 99% of the time. I look really good walking from my car to the house and from work to my car though . . . . . . FAIL!

Speaking of FAIL, no konad because I was busy watching the world premiere of Lifetime's Do You Know Me. I have been watching previews for this movie for about a month now, and it looked soooo good. What a big, fat let down!!! I like my Lifetime movies full of crazy, murderous people (crazy women killers make the best Lifetime movies). This movie had so much potential - A young woman is shocked to see herself on a milk carton as a "missing person" and decides to investigate. She soon finds herself on the run from both sides of the law. This movie went wrong on so many levels; it was not like the previews made it seem, too many characters were involved, tried to go for a big twist and failed, the only people that died were ones you didn't even really care about, it was just a big fail! Great concept poor execution imo!

I did see previews for another good movie coming up on June 21st - everything about this movies screams corny - right up my alley!! Get this, the name is called KILLER HAIR - lmao! I can hardly wait!! Here is what it says the movie is about:
Fashion reporter Lacey Smithsonian stumbles on the story of a hair-raising murder in Washington, D.C. and gets knocked off her high-heeled stride when her ex-boyfriend turns out to be the detective on the case. Believing you are what you wear, and that everything you wear is a fashion clue, Lacey uses her style-savvy sense to get to the bottom of the series of murders at her best girlfriend's hair salon. Based on a novel by Ellen Byerrum.
How totally stupid does this movie sound? At least I will go into this one expecting a dud :)

Did any of you catch Do You Know Me? What did you think about it?

BLACK RADIANCE

Well I promised that I would have some new nail pics up for you guys today, and I delivered. However, I must admit they are a little boring. They are simply painted.........no nail art.........no glitter...........no stickers..........nothing but paint. See, boring, huh!
I used Black Radiance - Passion, from the Bold & Sexy Collection. I love the colors of Black Radiance! They are so beautiful to me. Passion is a deep dark purple plum color, with a small amount of gold shimmer. You can only see the gold shimmer in the bottle, the shimmer doesn't transfer to the nail, but it is still a beautiful color.
My only complaint is the brushes! These have got to be some of the worst brushes I have ever used! The brushes are really thick, and kind of on the short side. The brush is really hard to use, especially for me because my nails are so slender. The ends of the brush bristles are uneven as well, but I love the color enough to still use it.
I think it is a perfect fall color. On the nails it loses all of the shimmery goodness and lighter purple color that you see in the bottle. On my nails it pretty much looks like a really dark maroon, almost black. The sun was not out today, so my outside shots didn't do much to help.

This picture is a little blurry, but you can see the pretty purple color and even see a little of that gold shimmer I was telling you about.

These are the outside shots, just looks dark, huh?

Look at all that SHINE!!! I even took a picture of my other hand so that you could see that I finally fixed my broken nail!!

That's all I have for you today. I had a really good idea for a Turkey Nail Art design last night. I'm hoping I can get it to come out as good as I have envisioned in my head!
