Good morning! Today I have a post for my German readers. I wanted to let you guys know about an online shop called MAHA Cosmetics. I was recently contacted by them and I wanted to help spread the word. They sell a lot of CND & Essie products, as well as just about any other nail related product you can think of. I got my package of Essies within a couple of weeks, but remember that was all the way here to the US. They were all packaged nicely and arrived in one piece.
Today I am showing you an old, limited edition Essie polish from 2009. This is Love, Beverly Hills xx, a gorgeous polish that is infused with 24k pure gold. While this was a limited edition, I have seen it for sale on Ebay and Amazon just yesterday. This polish is a little bit more expensive than your average Essie polish, which I think is due to the gold in it. I believe Christy over at Kronicles of a Konader sent this to me a while back, can't believe I just now used it for the first time - it's really pretty.
RUBY SLIPPERS This polish lives up to it's hype. Really very pretty. I was really close to keeping this on as my NOTD, but I opted for a pink from the Betty Boop collection instead. This color had nice coverage in 2 coats, but I prefer 3, it just added more depth to the polish.
GLASS SLIPPERS This one was just "meh" for me. I don't like the frosty base to this color. Frosts are not my thing. I liked the sparse silver glitter in it though.
I found this little mini pack containing Essie Ruby Slippers, which I believe is hard to find, at Marshals. I scored this for only $4!
I also found this set of Betty Boop polishes and I couldn't resist! The lighter pink and purple polishes have glitter in them, so you know... it was pretty much a sure thing I was getting them. This collection was priced at $3.99
My mom and I hit up some garage sales this weekend. I, in search of nail polish, her in search of yet another basket (lol!). At our second garage I ended up meeting a couple of really great gals! They had no polish for sale, but one ran inside to see if she had any to give me! She came out with one lone bottle of OPI - Bubble Bath. This is a color I almost ordered and decided against - the polish gods work in mysterious ways I tell ya. I ended up talking to Leslie about blogging and she told me she had just started one. So you guys might like to take a look at it, she is new but it appears to be about little uplifting stories about people she has in her life. Her blog is called WHO REALLY CARES? Thanks again Leslie, and please email me if you have any blogging questions ( or nail polish to get rid of, lol!)
