LAYERED LOOK: LIPPMANN - TODAY WAS A FAIRYTALE

Here is TWAF layered over a dark blue jelly. I liked this look, but I didn't like that the cornflower blue of the Lippmann disappeared on this. This was super sparkly in real life folks!!

NINA ULTRA PRO - SAILOR

Well since my first two posts today had to be taken down, I wasn't really left with much to share with you all today. This was the base coat I used for my NOTD that I can't show you now! lol

I believe I have done swatches of this color before. I got this at Sallys and I really love this color. I like the dark blue almost blackness of it. I also like the price of these polishes too, they are reasonable and sometimes on sale at Sally's too.

MOM'S FALL MANI

I did my mom's nails the other day and forgot to post the pics up!! D'oh! I used Nina Ultra Pro - Maple Syrup for the base color and then used my Color Club orange glitter from the Master of Disguise mini collection to do the falling leave effect.

NINA ULTRA PRO SWATCHES & FANTASY MAKERS

First up - PrettyBrownGirl asked me where did I get my Fantasy Makers Confetti nail polish at. I got it from the Halloween display at Walgreens. I believe Walmart also carries this nail polish also.

Ok, now on to the swatching :) I think both of these could be jellies - but I am not 100% positive. They have that really wet, squishy look to them, which makes me think they are. However, they weren't really sheer like jellies tend to be. So you decide - I call 'em jellys, you can call them whatever you want :) Either way - just get them! Both of these are just fantastic - Nina, another underrated nail polish brand like Savvy. Both are available at Sally's but lack the real range in shades. However, these two are just jems! I don't forget about Nina - Purple-xing, that is one hot polish ladies. Anyway - here is Blue Blaze and Sailor:

MY D'OH MOMENT YESTERDAY

I'm almost a little embarrassed to say this, but for the sake of cheap nail polish, I will share my d'oh moment with all the world.

So, my usual trips to Sally's include me making a beeline for the nail polish. My Sally's usually have a little round rack they keep by the front door and they usually keep it stocked with misc. clearance items, including clearance polish from time to time. This is what I THOUGHT was the whole clearance section of Sally's.

Last night I popped in to see if China Glaze Magic Matte had come in (no luck) and I needed some shampoo, which I normally don't get from there. But since I had my 15% coupon and I was already there, I thought what the heck. So I ventured to the back of the store. And there I laid my eyes on it!! A whole back shelf stocked full of clearance items!!! I had no clue about this rack as I normally stick to the front of the store. Imagine my surprise when I noticed the new Orly's now reduced to $3.99 ea!

Lesson learned ladies - check the back racks at Sally's.

If you know this already . . . .why didn't you tell me??? I wonder what good deals I have missed out on thus far . . . . . . .????

These were the only two colors they had left, but my two faves from the collection, so score!!

These weren't on clearance, but they (Nina brand np) are on sale at Sally's (for the month, I think) for $2.99 ea.

SALE AT SALLY'S

Last night I stopped in to Sally's to get me a bottle of pure acetone and noticed they had several nail polishes on clearance. I don't know if it was just my store, if all the stores were clearing out these particular brands and colors. Either way, it might not hurt to stop into your local Sally's and check, especially if you are on a tight nail polish budget like myself.

They had several to choose from, these were just three of the ones I chose. Most of the colors that were on clearance were along these same lines - light shades, very work appropriate colors.

Look at the difference between the flash and non flash pic - the color really kind of changes colors.

Mmmmmm, doesn't this look like sugar in a bottle? I guess this must have been part of a wedding theme collection because of the name. I am excited to try this one out.

I think this is more mauve or pink than lilac as the name claims.

DOT 2 DOT NOTD

Hello everyone! Hope everybody is having a good Monday. Today's NOTD is actually one I did on Saturday. After I got done with it, I wasn't really sure I liked it and had planned on taking it off. I didn't get around to doing it, and after getting a couple of compliments on it from a couple of random people, I decided it might not be as bad as I originally thought, so I decided to take some pics to share with you guys. There is a chip on my middle finger and a little tip wear, but this is after two days.

For the base I used Nina- In A Tiff which I knew I had to have once I saw it on Steph's Closet. I hadn't picked it up yet and then I saw The Asian Girl also posted about this one last week too, so I finally got around to getting it. I used my dotting tool to make the dots with. For the dots I used .......... the new SH Neons - shocker, huh?! When I use my dotting tool to make dots I will get a piece of foil or wax paper and add a little pool of whatever nail polish I am going to use, and then use my dotting tool from the pool of polish.

This was just a lip gloss I found on clearance at Target. It is made by Rimmel. I thought it looked kinda cool though.

Does anyone know or know where to find the ingredients for the Nina Ultra Pro nail polishes? If so, could you please let me know either in the comments section or in an email to getchanailsdid@yahoo.com. Thanks!
