CUTE FRENCH MANI & A HEART "BREAKING" STORY

I know you haven't seen much posting from me this week. I had a bout of nail breaks come over me - I broke all but three of my nails in the past week and a half and finally gave it up and cut the remaining 3 nails off yesterday. Not that there is anything wrong with short nails, I just don't prefer them on me and I don't like the way swatches look on my short nails.

I'm thinking I might put on some acrylic nails this weekend so that I can get back to the swatching that I have to do. I might even PAY someone to put them on me, lol! I just haven't felt like swatching or even doing my nails for that matter because they are all so short.

Luckily I have another mani I did on my sister to share with you all. This was done at the same time of the pedi I showed you earlier this week. You will see the similarities between the two.

RED WHITE & BLUE INSPIRED FRENCH

This mani I did a day or two ago and I still have it on! I know, soooo not like me to keep a mani for more than a day, but I did. I really liked how this looked, plus I just didn't have time to change it last night. My middle nail is broken so it might look a little funky in the pics, but I'm doing everything I can to keep it holding on for as long as possible! Also, there is a little wear with this because I didn't take the pics until just a few minutes ago!

FRENCH MANI: HOLO-FIED :)

I wore this earlier this week for when I had to go to Jury Duty. I did a french mani using OPI - BUbble Bath and China Glaze - Moonlight. You can kind of see the remains of a stamp I did, but the holo glitter pretty much covered it up.

FRENCH MANICURES GALORE!

Since I didn't get a chance to do my nails last night, here are some older french manicures I have done in the past. Some of these really make me miss my super long nails, boo hoo!

NOTD - HOT PINK + HOT BLUE = HOT COMBO!

I just couldn't take off Diamond Cosmetics Hot Summer Pink last night, I was just enjoying it too much. SO I decided to modify yesterdays look with a new one. I did a funky french using Zoya's Robyn from their new Flash collection. I also used a blue glitter nail art pen to line it with for a little extra sparkle. I was really tempted to add hot pink dots on the blue part, but I restrained myself, but just barely.

Unfortunately since I didn't remove yesterdays polish, I didn't do any new swatches for today to post about. I will be showing you all the pics I got from you wonderful readers displaying your Ugly Awesome polishes.

BANDWAGON - I IS ON IT!

I know - you've seen this look everywhere, but I wanted to give it a go. I wanted mine to stand out a bit, so I changed mine up just a tad. Plus, would it really be a "Brooke" mani with out some glitter thrown in there??

I painted my nails with two coats of black polish first, then added the pink part using Klean Color - Neon Pink. Then I used my black glitters and stuck them all along the black part. At a normal distance the black part almost has a snake skin effect to it. I don't know if this is a Win, but it IS different!

LOL - that black blob on my ring finger was supposed to be a heart. Just squint - it will appear!

Bonus Pic:
Bogie ( the office doggy) giving me a look while taking pics of my nails. He better watch out - he might end up with bright pink paws!!

VALENTINE'S DAY INSPIRED NAILS

I'm already jumping on the Valentine's Day wagon! I still feel that these nails need a little something extra to really make them pop, but not quite sure just what I need just yet. For the base I used Diamond Cosmetics - Angelic for the base. This is my favorite base coat to use for french mani's. I do wish I would have done a third coat of it though to help cover the stains on my nails, but from a regular distance it isn't that noticeable. For the tips I used OPI - Don't Think, Just Pink. And to outline the tips I used a red glitter nail art stripper.

Also, you might notice some bonus pics of my right hand! I ended up not being able to save my nail on my left hand and so I thought I would give it a try on taking pics of my right hand since all the nails are nice and long on that hand. It was a little harder than I thought, so unfortunately there are still some pics containing my shorty middle nail on my left hand. So enjoy :) lol
