OUT OF THIS WORLD - MATTE

I decided to use China Glaze Matte Magic over my yesterday's NOTD. The base is Ruby Kisses topped with NYX Enchanted Forest.

Then for a little fun and because I wanted to use my new bundle monster plates, I stamped a green star on my nails.

OPI - INK, SUEDE

Picked this baby up at Ulta a while back. LOVE IT! This reminds me of dark wash jeans. I did two coats and it applied like a dream. Like all mattes, dry time is excellent! But wanna know the best part?? Scroll down. . . . .

The best part is, I snagged it for only $4.99! I love showing my clearance stickers :)

NOTD - PURPLE STARS

Well I finally dug out and unpacked my konad stamping stuff! Go me!! I used one of my bundle monster plates, I think it was 21 or 22, something like that. The full nail designs on the BM plates are really small, so it wouldn't cover my thumb nail without doing a double stamp, so I decided to just use the star image instead. I added some silver flashy stars and added a matte coat.

And here is the look with a coat of seche over the top:

I used a Confetti brand polish for the base coat, forgot the name! And for the stamping design I used Diamond Cosmetics Crushed Velvet.

MAYBELLINE MATTES

My huge Dollar Tree haul happened while out of town for the Strawberry Fest. We were within 20 miles of the Arkansas border and Ft. Smith - so we decided to try and hit up a few before heading back to Oklahoma City. We stopped at one that didn't have much and when I asked if there were any others in town I was informed of a "race track" Dollar Tree. I have never heard of "race track" DT's and they told me that it means that the store is huge. Have you all ever heard of such a thing?

Huge it was! It was in a building about the size of a grocery store. I went straight for the nail polish and this is what I found: (click images to see detail)

I turned and called for a basket STAT!!! All of this glorious polish just waiting for me to snag! There was an old lady that was breathing down the back of my neck - I think she was just drawn by the frenzy I was creating. I bet she was disappointed when I finally moved out of the way and she realized it was just some old bottles of nail polish! Ha ha - serves her right for treading on my territory! lol The top 3 rows were out of my reach so i called for backup! A SA brought a ladder over and we tackled the last couple bottles.

So thanks Fort Smith, AR - thanks for everything!!

This didn't seem very matte to me, so I tried a coat of Matte Magic over it, not much difference, but a little.

OPI - JADE IS THE NEW BLACK & LA PAZ-ITIVELY HOT MATTE

JADE IS THE NEW BLACK
What can I say about this one other than GET IT NOW!!!

LA PAZ-ITIVELY HOT MATTE
I'm not a huge fan of OPI and really don't own that many. But after seeing several pics of this one I wanted it. This applied like a dream as far as the brush goes, which is strange since that's one of the things I dislike about OPI. This was like a perfect application - no clean up at all involved before I took these pics.

On the bad side, I had to apply three coats to get rid of VNL!!!

RUBY KISSES - DEAL WITH THE DEVIL

This Ruby Kisses polish is a must have for my fellow dark blue polish lovers out there. It is just gorgeous!! Ruby Kisses brand are usually found at local beauty supply stores. I first found this brand on a trip to Las Vegas at a local beauty supply store and flea market. I have since found it here locally at a wig and beauty supply store. These go for around $1.50 each. Ruby Kisses brand is actually a very nice formula and they have some interesting colors too. My bottle says this is a new color.
