DIAMOND COSMETICS - SPRING 2010 COLLECTION

Woo hoo, another spring collection!! Don't know about ya'll, but I'm ready for some warmer weather. Especially with all these spring collections coming out, it just makes me long for spring's season changes to hurry up and get here!

This is a pretty cool collection I think. A mix of everything; jelly, creme, shimmer & frost. And as much as I am loving the pastels that have been coming out, I'm so glad that Diamond Cosmetics didn't do the same thing. If they did I think we would have all been in pastel overload!

Anyway, here are the six new colors from Diamond Cosmetics:

GYPSY PINK
This is a hot pink/magenta frost. The frost in this isn't really dominant, which I like since I'm not a huge fan of the "frost" look. I almost took a picture of this at one coat, it was that opaque. Very nice color.

HOT LIPS
Lol, ok I like this one for the name alone! I love that Diamond Cosmetics isn't afraid to be playful with the naming of their polishes. This one is a bright pink jelly. It isn't as sheer as most jellys can be, which I liked. So after loving this for name alone, after applying I loved it for what was on the inside too, awwwww!

SERENDIPITY
This is the second frost of the collection. This ones formula gave me a little trouble. I don't really know what it was about the formula on this one other than it was a little harder for me to apply. If you look closely you can see an air bubble or two. That makes me think it is a brush issue more than formula.

RAZZMATAZZ
This color was the stand out for me. As soon as I got these I knew I would like this one. I was right! This kind of has a cool color thing going on with it, almost like a duochrome but not a full on duochrome. This color over black totally transforms it to a darker more coral or orangeish shade of pink. Just awesome, if you only get one color this is the one to get.

ORANGE BLUSH
This is the second jelly of the collection. I had no clue this was a jelly till I put it on, so I was pleasantly surprised. I really liked this one, and orange is probably my least favorite nail polish color, so way to go!

TRANQUILITY
First off, these pictures are not color accurate! The actual color is not nearly this bright, so please excuse me for that, I just couldn't get it captured correct. This was a little on the thick side, but nothing some thinner can't fix. This was really opaque which surprised me, usually colors like these aren't, which could explain the thickness of the formula. I really liked this color even though it isn't terribly unique.

These polishes are already on their website ready to be ordered. As usual, Diamond Cosmetics is offering these at the unheard of price of only $2 each. They can be ordered through this link.
***EDIT - The prices were raised to $2.25 each.

Serendipity reminds me a lot of Orly Pixie Dust. I'm really not feeling these colours at all. Maybe the spring colours just aren't my thing. I haven't really liked any of the spring collections.

Would you say SERENDIPITY is more grey or more blue?

JACKIE - Thanks for the price update, I didn't even notice that.

As far as the grey one, it isn't a full grey or blue - it is definatly a blue grey. I think the color will change depending on what kind of lighting you are in at the time.

These are some pretty colors. The blue is so pretty. Like a robin's egg blue. I like all of these polishes. Even with the rate hike they're all worth it.

SERENDIPITY and TRANQUILITY look like to really cool polishes that I need to own. I really like them a lot. I do not currently own any Diamond Cosmetics. I may have to look into them.

My wife and I browsed on this page, and how she really loved all the nail colors here on your site. And I think it will be better to promote your nail care line well through online ads, TV ads or infomercial(s). Marketing companies nowadays are really trusted by their clients when it comes to handling their campaigns and promoting them through different types of advertising tools.
