STOLEN POSTS!! I NEED YOUR HELP!

I was recently made aware of another site that has stolen my posts and pictures - not just a paragraph here or there - WHOLE, COMPLETE posts! I wanna put these idiots out to dry - but simply don't know how to. These dumb asses even posted up pictures of the cupcakes and brownies I did over the fourth of july weekend.............really??????? Not only are they stealing mine, but they are stealing another bloggers posts too, even leaving here SIGNATURE on the bottom of them!!!

I KNOW THEY ARE READING THIS NOW, looking for their next post to steal!! So to:

http://acrylic-nails.blogspot.com/

Take my stolen images and words off your so called blog. You did not ask permission and you did not link back to me, or even MENTION my blog. I have reported you to GOOGLE for copyright/piracy.

I spend a lot of time, energy and money on my blog and to have someone come in and steal almost EVERY SINGLE post I do is outrageous!

Anyone that knows what else I can do, please let me know in the comments.

  2. WOW.
I'm pretty sure that all you can do is to report the theft to blogger/google, but that really stinks.
I hope she gets shut down soon.

  5. They have the report abuse tab in the top of all our blogs.make sure you use that tool as well. It's scary how people can do that and most of the time I'd bet we don't even know it! How did you find out? I'm so sorry thT happened to you. Let us know what happens! And if there's anything we can do to help.

  6. what a shame ! the poor girl is stealing the work of some great bloggers. she's so stupid, she doesn't even notice that ''her'' posts show sometimes black skin and sometimes white skin. Really ?! Do you think readers are fools ?! Hope she get closed !

  7. This is the second blog I've seen this WEEK that has stolen entire posts from other bloggers. Unbelievable!

  8. CUCUMPEAR - lol, it's ok! Thanks for taking the time to send me the link.

FINGERS - This blog suspiciously doesn't have that at the top, I looked for it. I can't leave any comments either, you cant scroll down to enter the security word to be able to leave a comment - I don't think either of these two things is an accident either, whoever did this set up a blog to purposly steal other's work.,

  11. This is unbelievable!

I think the only thing you can do is report them to google.

I would suggest watermarking your photos. If you have a Facebook account there is an application called Picnik. You can write w.e you want and place it over the image. I suggest using the "orverlay" option after selecting what you want to type.

If you use overlay you can put the words right over the image and it wont obstruct the image :)

    Hope that helps :)

  12. Wow....that's crazy. I can't believe that somebody can do this stuff. Completely outrageous.
    here the form:

    http://www.google.com/support/bin/request.py?contact_type=lr_dmca&product=blogger

I deal with Google a lot, not for blogger though. And I know that they are very serious about these things. Just submit the form and they will definitely get back to you and/or delete this blog.

I bet they stole some post from other people as well, so it shouldn't be hard to deal with them.
    Hope it helps.

  14. This is exactly what happened to me yesterday! I reported it to Google yesterday in the evening and this morning the blog had already been deleted. I was surprised at Google's quick reaktion.

(Sorry for my bad English. I hope it makes sense to you.)

  15. Brooke thank you for lettimg me know. I can't believe they stole lots of my post and pics. That entire site features other blogs!

I just put up a post about it on my blog.

  16. Reporting to the DMCA and leaving a post with links to the offender on your blog has worked every time I have had content stolen. Good for you for going public and taking action to keep control of your material! I wish you all the best for a quick resolution!

  17. The watermarks and signatures didn't even deter her, its incredible

  18. It is beyond me that these folk don't think you would find out. They are idiots in so many ways. I hope Google takes swift action.

  19. I don't think it's even a blog but just an rss-feed converted into a blog as it seems to massimport entries?

Whatever it may be, I wouldn't be surprised if it suddenly linked to a webshop for nailpolish. Getting hits, getting ranked on Google and voila, a good url to use for a shop.

  20. What the hell is the matter with people! I hope you can rip their heads off. Even going as low to steal your brownies!

  21. Ugh! I hope this gets resolved soon. They should just post your link if they wanted people to see your blog. They just wanted it for their own personal gain.

  22. She has stolen posts not only from your blog but from multiple other blogs including but not limited to Nails Beautiqued, Chloe's Nails, and The Daily Nail

  23. This is so wrong! Why would someone do such a thing?! That's terrible

  25. Props on calling them out! I will leave them a message for sure!!!

  26. Keep posting their blog link/name so that newbies who come to your site know what this other site is done and will not happen to run into them and sign up to follow along. We need to drum them out. Hopefully reporting them will do it to take them down. You need to watermark all your swatches. Still folks who are savvy with Photoshop can take out watermarks but it's a lot of work to do it working through all the layers - not quite cut and past with a little clone tool to take off letters that you put over the top of your posted photos. I hate to see some logos posted widely across the entire swatch photos...but I know what they do it - it's a lot harder to use the clone stamp to take out all that lettering and have a decent photo left. So you can try that too. We all will understand if you go that route.

  27. I just went over to their blog site and see they have ZERO followers! Nada - not one. I was going to leave a nasy note but know it would be taken down by the blog owner so did not...but I might go back and just do it - she can pull it down. I want her to know the nail blog community is tight and does not go for this kind of robbery!

    ReplyDelete
  28. I cannot even leave a nasty post for her to take down _ there are 2 nasy posts up there now for everyone to see about these not being her posts or photos. But when I tried to leave my nasty post on same, the captcha does not show fully and there is no visible window to post the captcha into...the blog is all wacko. So she cannot even follow the template spacing correctly or leave it alone so that it works correctly. OR maybe this is the start of Google looking into it and has altered the comments so they cannot be left until they get to the bottom of it.

  29. I just went over to the blog and she also has a whole bunch of posts from the Nails Beautiqued blog and she didn't even bother to take of the watermarks! I cannot even believe the nerve! I was actually able to leave some comments; the captcha was cut off for me too but I was able to scroll down and get the whole thing to show up. I hope all of you who she is stealing from are able to get this resolved; it's completely ridiculous! Good luck!

  30. Omg I am so sorry... Hope you are doing well. I understand how it feels :(

    ReplyDelete
  31. Unbelievable, it makes me angry that you take your time and energy to share with us your wonderful nail art, swatches, and cupcakes (: and someone has the nerve to take your post *word for word* I'm sorry and I hope they get deleted. I wish you the best, you are wonderful.

  32. Well, when this happened to me recently, I did this:

    http://www.popularnailpolish.com/coolest-nail-polish/funky-fingers-2.html

    :D

That really sucks though, good luck getting it removed!

  33. This is seriously DISGUSTING!! I just left denouncing comments in some stolen posts. I don't know what else to do, I'd like to do more but don't know how to. If you need it I could sign or e-mail anything in your support, just contact me if you need.

  34. Ugh, the internet... I had someone do that years ago too, turns out the public shaming/drawing attention to it was enough to get them to take the site down. Hopefully they're smart enough to do the same thing!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Boo! I just had the same thing happen in my Etsy shot- some girl was STEALING my photos, posting them as her own work, then selling them for twice the price I did. Wonder what her poor "customers" got? Probably nothing.

I had to start watermarking my photos. You can use Picnik to add a watermark to your photos http://www.picnik.com/app#/home/welcome if you don't have a photo editing program. So far, I have about 10 gazillion left to watermark myself.

Oh, and I'll send them a flaming bag of dog poop from Japan for you. :P
