RED WHITE & BLUE INSPIRED FRENCH

This mani I did a day or two ago and I still have it on! I know, soooo not like me to keep a mani for more than a day, but I did. I really liked how this looked, plus I just didn't have time to change it last night. My middle nail is broken so it might look a little funky in the pics, but I'm doing everything I can to keep it holding on for as long as possible! Also, there is a little wear with this because I didn't take the pics until just a few minutes ago!

  1. Have you tried using some fiberglass materia with nail glue or resin and then some of the fill powder that you can buy at Sally's Beauty Supply. If you don't have fiberglass material, use a piece of a teabag. Put some nail resin on the break, place the teabag or fiberglass material on top, put a little more resin on top of the material them tap some of the nail fill powder on top of that. Place more nail resin on top if needed. Then spray with some nail glue dryer. File until smooth and polish as normal. Hopet this works for you.

What color is the dark blue glitter? I really like it. Really great take on red, white, and blue :D

  4. Save that nail! LOL I got through all winter with no breaks, now that it's summer & I'm wearing them a little longer I've got 4 nails with patches on to save them from tears. I thought I'd be safe because it wasn't so cold & they're not so brittle but unfortunately not =( But I've gotten pretty good at patching at this point, it is SO worth it to keep the length. Of course, you do really nice acrylics, so it might be easier to just sacrifice it & do one on that nail?

  7. These nails are cute! Is the break near the "quick"? otherwise its probably best just to let it go and cut it down. I know, no one likes to cut their nails down, but you don't want it to break worse later :(

  8. I held a broken nail on for 3 weeks with the Swiss silk wraps and IBD 5-second brush on nail resin from Sally. I always keep a kit at home. The wrap made it through 12 polish changes with Remove+. Give it a try!

I also want to know what color blue you used. It is FANTASTIC!!

  9. AIMEE - The blue is ORLY - Royal Navy, since I used it over the red, it came out looking much darker than it would have on its own.

  10. Hope you can save your nail. I'm not good at patches so I just chop it off. Love this manicure. Looks very nautical looking. I also love the matte look.
