Isn't this mani F-A-B?? I just loved how this turned out. I did this on my mom's nails last night. We weren't quite for sure what we wanted and ended up by the time it was all over with, with this and about 10 coats of nail polish, lol.
For the base we used two coats of Diamond Cosmetics - Angelic and One coat of Misa Sugar Daddy. That gave us a really nice, semi sheer white shimmery base. Then we added China Glaze - Cleopatra on the tips and made a glitter gradient look. Next I stamped a red poinsettia using Konad special polish in red. Lastly, I added a little gold stud to the middle of each flower. Throw in several layers of top coat through out the process of this mani and we got nearly 10 coats of nail polish.
My mom is currently looking for a dishwasher until the holidays - she doesn't want to ruin this mani by doing the dishes. I told her to invest in some rubber gloves, hehehe!!

ReplyDeleteWow, I think that this is the best holiday mani that I have seen yet, it is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteNESSA - I just paint a thin line at the bottom of the nail with glitter, then go back over the thin line and with a small amount of glitter polish on the brush I just kind of tap it against the nail moving up slightly. The key is to not get to much polish on the brush. It's pretty easy.

ReplyDeleteMan, here you see a ton of really cheap dishwashers on Craigslist, everyone gets rid of them so the prices for a used one are really VERY reasonable. That's the route I'm going to go, we don't have one in the new house, so Tony will have to build some counter space for it!
