LIPPMANN POLISH REVIEW

I rec'd three Lippmann Collection nail polishes to review a week or so ago. Last night I finally got around to doing these. I have Superstar, Ruby Red Slippers and Happy Birthday. I was so excited about trying these out. Since I am a glitter freak I don't know that the rep could have picked out three better colors for me to review!

SUPERSTAR
Finally, I got you right where I want you - on my nails!! I wanted this color with a passion last year and didn't get it. It was a limited release I believe. So when I heard that Lippmann was bringing it back again this year I was excited! This color lived up to my expectations! It is chock full of copper glitter in a brown base. Their website says it is copper flecked fudge - perfect description! This was super opaque too, the pictures below are three coats, but you could get away with just two with good application skills. It applied really nice, and was easy to control even with all that glitter in it. The pictures below are before clean up, and you can tell there ain't much to clean up. 5 stars Deborah for this polish!!

RUBY RED SLIPPERS
Another polish that as soon as I saw this year I wanted. RRS is a clearish black base full of ruby red glitter of different sizes. I don't know how they made this red glitter glimmer the way it does in a black base - but the effect is pure magic. I think the different size glitter also adds to beauty of this polish. Application was a little bit more difficult with this one because of the larger glitter and the clear black base. Looking closely you can see some of the glitter around my cuticles stands out more where the base color didn't build. This is three coats and I really think I needed four to really bring out the true beauty of this polish. I also think I might could have gotten away with only two or three coats if I would have painted a black base coat. Either way - this polish is worth the extra time.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY
When I say that I always think of the big mouse, Gus Gus, on Cinderella saying "duh, duh, happy birthday", lol. Yet another great polish! Happy Birthday is THE perfect name for this, it just screams birthdays to me. I love all the bright different colored glitter in this polish. This was easy to apply and control considering the amount & different sizes of glitter. I think this needs to really be used over a colored base coat though, but I like that it is in a clear base so you can virtually add it to any base color you want and still keep everything good about the original color. Shown I used three coats.

You can find these nail polishes on Lippmann's website and the sell for $16.00 ea, with the exception of Happy Birthday, it is $18.00.

***I almost forgot - I LOOOOOOOVE the bottles! I love the shape and I just think they look so rich and elegant looking! The bottle have got to be in like my top 5 of bottle shapes I love!
