RUBY PUMPS TEST RESULTS

Before I left, I did a post on China Glaze - Ruby Pumps, found here. Basically I painted my nails before I left town, and I wanted to see how long it would last on my nails.

First I painted a coat of Orly - Bonder, three coats of China Glaze - Ruby Pumps, and a final thick coat of Poshe Super-Fast Drying Top Coat. I must admit that I am AMAZED at how long this lasted! First off I painted these on Tuesday night November 25th and the pictures I am posting up were taken this morning on Monday December 1st. That is a full 6 days!

Can you believe it??? Minus a little tip wear and they have dulled, they really held up! I was very surprised. I have to owe this to my Orly - Bonder. I think that was the difference maker here. What have you guys used that have stood the test of time on your mani or pedi?

I forgot to take a picture of my toes, but they have held up better than my nails!

  1. Welcome back!! I also use bonder. But I find that the glitter polishes like this wear like iron compared to others!! What about you?

  2. I've noticed that since i upgraded to pricier base/top coats (Seche Vite and Poshe) my nail polish lasts longer.

  3. KATEE - I haven't noticed that with glitter polish, but I usually don't wear polish as long as that. Maybe I will have to conduct another test with a non glitter polish.

OLGA - I noticed that since I upgraded to Seche and Poshe, since they dry so quick it makes me change my nail polish more often, so I really have no comparison as far as wear goes, I change it to often :)

  4. I can't remember if I've commented here or not, but I love lurking & drooling over your nails. :-)

I use Zoya Anchor/Armour, and my manicures last a full week (7 days), as long as I use a good polish (Zoya, OPI, China Glaze). That's showering daily, cleaning/dishes nightly, etc. I think with good polish, 7 days of wear (with minor tip wear) is to be expected (if I don't get 7 days out of it, I normally toss it).

As a point of disclaimer, I am a computer geek - no affiliation to any polish company or salon. :-)

  5. JAMIE - Thanks for the info on the Zoya. I haven't tried the Anchor/Armour yet. Next time I place an online order, I will have to see about trying it out!
