CHINA GLAZE - ISLAND ESCAPE SUMMER 2011 COLLECTION

Good morning! Today I am sharing with you China Glaze's new summer collection called Island Escape. I think it is a perfect name for this collection. And I think all the names sound like they could double as names for drinks or shots! I also really liked all the different finishes in this collection, there are cremes and sparkles too.

LeCHAT DARE TO WEAR NEONS

Hey all! Today I have one of my favorite kinds of nail polish to show you - NEONS!! The brand I am showing you is called LeChat . They sent me some of their neon colors from their Dare to Wear line and I am super pleased with them. The colors were all so vibrant and rich, I had a hard time picking just one favorite from the 6 colors I tried. The formula was a bit thick, but it pays off because all of these are only 2 yes TWO coats! And I do mean just two coats on the bright yellow and green one, which is essentially unheard of with neons.

Two coats of this gorgeous neon blue. I love that it is a darker shade of blue, but still very neon.

For the love of goodness my camera would NOT capture this color!! The pictures are so far off I hate to even show them because they are nothing like the actual color. The actual color is like a gorgeous deep sea green, just beautiful. My pictures came out making it look much darker and murkier and the flash pictures just washed the color out. This color was my favorite out of the box and when I put it on, it really secured it's place as my favorite of the collection.

Yes, this is only two coats!! I do not have another neon green this shade that goes on this opaque in only one coat!! Beautiful! I need a pedi with this one STAT!!

Again I say - only 2 coats!! Unbelievable LeChat, how do you do that?! I love this color, how can this scream summer any louder? And the name, well that's a polish after this girls heart!!

Another one that isn't color accurate. This is a true neon pink, it came out sort of muted and rose colored in my pictures, but my camera just couldn't do any better for some reason. I love this, I mean you can't have a neon collection with no quintessential pink, can you?

This was my second favorite of the collection. I love this, super bright and opaque. I kept this one on as my NOTD today and have already gotten 2 compliments on it. I love it!

Well I am impressed with LeChat! My mani has stayed super bright and shiny (with top coat, as these dry matte on their own). I love the bright colors, but even more than that I love that you can get super bright eye searing neons in only two coats!
